Can anyone recommend a good clinic in London for getting private preliminary tests please? Especially with respect to luteal phase. Thanks.

I used lister for ivf/icsi. Didn't get many tests (as done on nhs)

They get good results (worked first time for me) though not the best time-keepers when it comes to appointments.

Good luck

Used Dr Gorgy in Wimpole Street.

He was fab and not as expensive as some others.

I had the Chicago tests for NK cells though, not luteal phase ones.

Hey greengrassy, I don't think you need a fertility clinic for this. This was a mistake I made and went to a clinic to discuss luteal phase but I got some tests done which was an ovarian reserve test and found out no more info about my luteal phase. Clinics really come further down the line. You need a good gynae. I think iir is important to have individual attention at this stage. I have been given two names of gynaes from people who have had good results. Nick Wales at the Chelsea and Westminster. Sarah Matthews at the Portland street hospital. Sarah does believe in a strong luteal phase apparently but you can get all the tests done there. A warning - it is expensive. If you have private health, try and get a referral. Sarah is £300 for the first hour. I dontnknow what tests arenon top. I am going to get a referral to her next month for the same issue.

Hi, I've been to a gynae based in London Bridge Hospital - Amina Shafik. Her costs are £200 for the first hour and she got me a discount on many, many, MANY tests to investigate my lack of baby making ability.

She can be a bit blunt but got things sorted v quickly and has always been very responsive to questions by email / phone between appts

Good luck Smile

Joycep I'm starting to feel like we're the same person. So funny that you've already tried this. Individual attention is exactly what I'm after. Funnily enough I was on Nick Wales' list when I was pregnant last year before the miscarriage. I never got far enough along to actually see him though. Do you think the private insurance companies will pay for these investigations? I'm really grateful for your post, because I was ringing round clinics this morning and they didn't seem to be right for this, but I didn't know what else to try. So thanks!
