Hi there ladies

I haven't posted in this board before.. I was just looking for a bit of advice really and thought this might be the place to start..

I am really lucky to have one beautiful DD already but would so love more. I recently had a huge cyst removed from my right ovary, unfortunately, the cyst was all twisted in my fallopian tube (ouch) and this was removed too. So, now I have two ovaries and only one fallopian tube. This whole hulabaloo has come about because we are going to try to conceive this year and I wanted to make sure everything was in working order (it wasn't!!). My question is, what implications will this surgery have for getting preggers? Will I still be able to conceive naturally? etc etc. I did see the consultant briefly before I left hospital but to be fair, I was so off my face on painkillers he could have told me anything Confused

Anyhoo, thanks for reading, I do have an appointment with my consultant in a few weeks but I suppose I am just an impatient little monkey!

I had a tube removed due to an ectopic pregnancy last May.

During surgery they had a little look at the other tube and said it looked fine. Did they do that with you? I would imagine so - you could your consultant about that.

Provided the other tube is ok, you hopefully won't have a problem conceiving with one tube. The consultant told me that it might take twice as long (obviously) although there are plenty of instances where the working tube has somehow swung round and caught an egg from the other side.

So, in short, press on with ttc, and good luck!
