Can anyone recommend a good PCOS-fertility gynaecologist in south / central London....

Hi..

Not sure if I'm allowed to ask this on MN but if I am, I'd love a recommendation for the above. Been trying over a year. Got referred to Guys and St Thomas' to their sub-fertility clinic who basically turned me away as we haven't been trying for two years. They were totally dismissive even though I have PCOS, have had two MCs and have a strong family history of infertility and early menopause.

Now on Metformin (prescribed by doc) but very scant periods. Thought my next option could be to get a referral (NHS or private through BUPA) to a PCOS-specialising gynaecologist who might be able to help.

Anyone got any recommendations?

Hi LaraMi, i'd highly recommend Mr Trew, 92 Harley Street, he's regarded as one of the best fertility doctors/ gynaes in the country. The best thing to do is to call up and make an appointment and then go to your GP and ask for a referral letter detailing your relevant history, if you then speak to BUPA and ask for an authorisation code. When you have your appointment just take along this code plus your referral letter.

Best of luck

Brilliant - thanks so much! Challenge will be to ensure I get covered by BUPA by ensuring my condition doesn't sound pre-existing...
