100years that's hilarious about your internal wind! Oh the joys of pg, eh?! Although with all the Xmas dinners I have been pretty windy myself - and there's definitely no little bean in there to blame it on, sparkly or otherwise!

Bebe I am going to keep everything crossed you can join us next month. Your DH must know what this means to you.

bebeinamanger · 27/12/2010 15:04

It doesn't help that I have had chest pains for the last 3 nights, now he is all worried that I'm about to cark it!! (I think it's down to over indulgence & festive wind! Xmas Blush)

100 - That is really funny bout the wind! It only gets worse I'm sorry to say!

I really hope I can talk DH into it next month! I think the longest I can 'wait' now is until April/May, then I am just going to give up all hope & throw in the towel!

MrsSatsuma · 27/12/2010 17:27

100years - fantastic news!! So happy for you, and what a brilliant time to find out. Am only ever so slightly jealous... Xmas Blush

Back from mum's - unfortunately she was ill so my and my brother cooked. Turkey had to be finished in microwave as wasn't done despite both of us being good cooks (honestly!), checking with a meat thermometer and juices running clear.... Never mind! The rest was all good at least.

Was very happy when I realised I miscounted my cycle - 30th Nov + 28 days is not 30th Dec... doh... but less happy when I got a BFN this morning :( Now in limbo waiting for AF, not entirely sure when due as this is first cycle after coming off pill. It'll probably appear tomorrow... will test again if no sign in 4 or 5 days! I'm a woman obsessed!!!

nannyl · 27/12/2010 23:10

Hello all
Me and oh have made it down.south. bit of a nightmare on m25 so white s.long journey, but we made it and are having lovely times with my friends and family.
Bought some more pg tests today (those 1st response 6 days early ones that are on bogof in boots) though I just have this feeling I'm.not pg. Realised my cousins wedding down here will be 4 days after due date IF I'm pg , anf its 5 hours drive away, and I really REALLY want to go, so that will be better, though would I be insane 2 be doing a 5 hour drive (twice in 3 days) if I was 8m pg?
Also thinking about giving up charting and cbfm if I'm not pg. Will have studied my cycle for 5m and I already know.it. do.might just relax a bit more, monitor CM, and opk, next time round
To anyone who might be interested will be peeing on a stick on day 26, 1st Jan.
Hope everyone has had a wonderful Christmas time

AmandaCooper · 28/12/2010 00:09

Nannyl I'm thinking exactly the same thing that having monitored my cycle the thing to do is monitor my erm secretions rather than my temps and take my cues from those. All your temps really tell you is when to stop.

100years · 28/12/2010 03:37

Ha, middle of the night, woken feeling really hungry and a tad sick! Just had to have some biscuits, will try and sleep again in a bit, but then I have to be up in 2.5hours to get ready for work!

nannyl I did none of the temping, OPKs or anything this month, I really didn't think it would happen for me this month, I think we just SWI a lot at the right time, although there was a gap where it was about 72 hours without any SWI. By not paying much attention to details other than saying when I had had sex I felt a lot more relaxed about it, even if I didn't believe it. It is really hard to do though. If sparkly bean stick I will be 8m pg when I have a wedding to go to too!! Although it's not quite as far a journey.

bebeinamanger · 28/12/2010 08:49

Oooh Nannyl - lucky day 26! Wink

I did no charting/OPKing or anything with DD, it was a half hearted sort of lets see what happens thing, just really went for it mid cycle! Blush Hoping to convince DH to adopt this approach again, although seeing how we conceived DD first go he might not be convinced! Hmm

If I get pregnant in Jan I'll be 5months PG at a wedding next summer! Not quite as far gone as you guys! Wink Would be nice though, the friend getting married was my maid of honour & she was the only person (DH aside) that knew I was PG at my wedding! :)

AmandaCooper · 28/12/2010 12:19

Actually thinking about it, it is useful to be able to pinpoint ov so as to work out whether you are actually overdue or whether the docs just think you are.

bebeinamanger · 28/12/2010 12:51

In my very limited experience (and from what friends have said) Docs/MWs tend to ignore what you say about OV! I told my MW I had fairly irregular cycles & she still worked out my EDD (initially) with the wheel based on a 'average' 28 day cycle! Hmm Subsequently when I had my dating scan my EDD was moved forward by 6 days!!

Waiting for AF to show up! Can't be long now! Have been dropping hints like mad about TTC, but so far DH has either ignored me or just not got that I am dropping hints! Hmm

AmandaCooper · 28/12/2010 13:51

That's what a lot of people say - they say work back fourteen days from actual date of conception and tell your doctor that was CD1.

AmandaCooper · 28/12/2010 13:53

DHs don't get hints though as we all know. You'll have to be direct Bebe.

bebeinamanger · 28/12/2010 14:20

I'm just being such a wimp, we are having a lovely time just being together I don't want to wreck it by bringing up something that could potentially trigger an argument! (Am going on previous form!!)

AmandaCooper · 28/12/2010 17:10

Oh well I don't blame you for that. There's nothing worse than provoking a row over it, it can be very upsetting as I know only too well. It certainly remains to be seen whether DH and I will actually do the deed this month! There's still plenty of time for cold feet. I'm tempted to put it off while DH cuts down the cigs but realistically that'll probably never happen.

100years · 28/12/2010 19:12

Hello ladies.

I'm sick :( As in nausea and trying to be sick, a lot, finished work early. Been to sleep, woke up, immediately felt sick. I'm feeling this is going to be a long few weeks.

Right well, I feel bad for constantly talking about it in here since I found out. Will try not to, and will take my sickness tales elsewhere from now on.

Christmas then.

What did anyone get nice?

AmandaCooper · 28/12/2010 21:04

DH got me some GHDs, which I've been wanting for absolutely ages. My parents got me a really nice travel bag. Might come in handy for labour bag!

Just stocked up on fresh grapefruit juice.

MrsSatsuma · 28/12/2010 21:36

100years, vent as much as you like - that's what we're here for! Sorry you're feeling ill :( Apparently Special K cereal is good at not making you feel sick. Try ginger too perhaps.

DH got me necklace and earrings - was absolutely gobsmacked as they are beautiful! He did very well Grin Got truckloads of chocolate (being a teacher does have its perks at this time of year...)

Still waiting for AF to appear... annoying as I don't know when to expect it, this being first post-pill cycle. Am on tenterhooks but not holding out much hope. Gaah!

AmandaCooper · 29/12/2010 00:49

Sorry 100years I didn't mean to ignore what you said about feeling sick as though agreeing that you shouldn't talk about it! As I was posting DH was yelling at me to get off that mn and order our Indian takeaway!

MrsSatsuma · 29/12/2010 09:46

Haha my DH can't work out why I'm on MN at all... although he has spent a fair amount of time playing games on his iPhone which annoys me intensely, so each to their own...

Am getting frustrated now - still no sign of AF and another BFN this morning. I wish I at least knew how long I need to wait but as I'm still not sure how long cycle is without the pill I can't even say for sure when I'm late. I wish I could just forget about it and relax...

nannyl · 29/12/2010 10:27

Morning all

100 so sorry you are feeling sick. (like you i actually wish i felt sick or something / anything) I dont! I have no pg signs at all Sad

Im now on day 23, 8 days post ovulation, and 6 days early. I have 4 first responce 6 day early pg tests, but i think its too early to test.
Visited my friend yesturday (the one who found out that she is pg on 23rd Dec) and she was telling me how if i am pg my boobs will really hurt (they dont), and even though she tested 3 days early she already knew she was pg. Envy

Thinking about doing one of my cheap ebay tests, but i dont think they are sensitive enough for testing now anyway.... perhaps i'll waste one on NYE (when ill be 4 days early)
Am keeping my 1st responce tests in the car until 1st jan so i dont test until then!

Hope everyone is having a nice few days.
I am happy down south, and we are visitng some of OHs family (who live quite close by) for dinner this evening which should be fun Smile
Seeing more friends tomorrow, then ready for New Year party with all my bestest freinds so that will be fun.

bebeinamanger · 29/12/2010 11:39

Nannyl - My boobs never hurt when I was PG! Not once! Everyone is different! Don't give up hope!

I had no symptoms other than a sort of tingly tummy & what I thought were period pains. Then I hit 6 weeks & the vommiting started....and didn't stop being horrendous for 14 weeks! :( Remind me why I want to go through that again? 100 you have my sympathy it is awful!

Have got DHs bug, feel cold & achey & have no energy! (Not helped by DD waking me up at 5.15, at least she went back to sleep! Envy)

DH is upstairs working, waiting on some big news today which should put a positive spin on everything! Hoping we will start off 2011 on a good note!

nannyl · 29/12/2010 12:54

oh thats good to know bebe Smile

thinking about it last night / this morning / now i have been feeling what feel like the mildest of mild period pains.
I still dont feel pg though and i 'feel it in my bones' that im gonna get a BFN this month!
Just bought some more pregnancy vits, after all pg or not i still need to take them as we are trying!

Hope you feel better soon bebe. It seems that EVERYONE i know has been / is poorly over the last few weeks. Sad
Really hope you DH gets some good news and you can start 2011 on good form Smile

Oh and just read my 1st responce 6 days early test and realise that they (IMO) work from 5 days early as they count the day your period is due as 1 day early Confused (see i would call period due day as on time and not early!... anyway pleased i read that

(so when i test on new years day, 3 days before period is due i will be testing 4 days early, which is only 87% accurate anyway, as opposed to 98% the next day.)

AmandaCooper · 29/12/2010 13:21

Yes Bebe that sounds quite promising. I really hope we can both ttc at the beginning of next year. Any longer waiting and we will both go quite crazy!

Nannyl these cycles are so long aren't they! When you're not ttc all you can think is "oh flipping heck not AF AGAIN!" but when you're waiting for a particular point in your cycle to come round it seems to take an age! Anyway I hope NYD is lucky for you so you don't have to do any more waiting on this side. Plenty of waiting still to do on the other side of course lol.

I'm on CD4, so still a way to go before we can even get going!

bebeinamanger · 29/12/2010 13:22

I have had period pains on & off for 2 days now, I wish AF would just hurry up so I know what date I'm 'aiming for' to jump DH! Wink

That sounds pretty confusing about the test, I would consider the day it's due as late if it hadn't arrived IYSWIM? Confused

AmandaCooper · 29/12/2010 13:29

On the one hand, we're not supposed to count a day as CD1 if AF arrives quite late in the evening, so anytime after 6pm she must be late. But you do pg tests in the morning, so that doesn't add up!

bebeinamanger · 30/12/2010 08:30

After 3 days of horrendous cramps, AF has finally showed up! Just in time for me to go to SILs birthday today :( which is an hours drive away! I feel crap! Stupid bug, stupid cramps & now stupid toothache too! No chance of getting out of going, everyone else has cancelled & it's her 40th birthday! DH just doesn't get it, all I want to do is dose myself up with painkillers, curl up on the sofa with & blanket & a hot water bottle & eat chocolate!!
