Have you sought advice from your GP to be referred to a gynae if you have been ttc for two years without success?.

LPD is a controversial area; some gynaes think it is a problem whilst others do not.

Yes, I've been to gynae and had tests he gave me clomid to try. But the leutal phase wasn't mentioned?

Were you given a diagnosis of the underlying problem?. Did he explain properly why you were prescribed clomid (and how long have you been taking this for?).

Has your man been tested and do you as a couple feel that you have both been adequately investigated?.

As previously mentioned LPD is a controversial area.

They can't see any reason really except that on two 21 day tests for progesterone one was borderline and the other was okay. I have irregular AF so they conclude that I may not always ovulate. I've been taking Clomid since June. In fact, this month we haven't used it because in my little head I decided that the tablets were giving us extra hope/pressure. Perhaps its my age..... I'm 35. I have two other children from a previous relationship and my DH has two also but we can't seem to achieve it together - argh !!

How about you?

I don't think trying to work out your luteal phase will help you, particularly if your periods are irregular.

'You may not always ovulate' isn't an answer. It's normal to not ovulate occasionally but irregular periods, borderline test results and lack of conception warrant further investigation.
