Laparoscopies on NHS- how long from referral to op?

Would be very interested in anyone who's had a lap on the NHS. I have just had one privately but the surgeon didn't do all he had planned to as he found other problems. So in short, I'm wondering how long I'll have to wait for an NHS one as not sure I'll get insurance cover for another op :(.

Not quite the same, but I had a surgical hysteroscopy to remove polyps on the NHS, and it was all done quite quickly. Depending on what they found they might have done a lap as well so I can't see that waiting times would have been that different if that's all I'd been having done.

After an ultrasound investigation I got a referral to the gynae at hospital about 2 weeks later (I actually had a choice of 4 hospitals) longest waiting time out of them all was 3 weeks I think. After initial appointment with gynae I got a date for surgery 3 weeks later. And that was actually a week later than they first suggested because I was on holiday.
