Come and join me if you are TTC an August baby [hgrin]

Congrats to Northeastmummy for her BFP :)

I am actually on antibiotics, and as my FB status has been about how poorly I have been if I were to go out I wouldn't have anyone doubting the truthfulness of my story. I am not sure what to do about next weekend, if I'm well enough to go out, it's pre ovulation, but I'm also trying to keep my body as clear from alcohol as possible. So I'm not sure whether to keep the story going about ABs or whether to just have the one or two, or whether to get blotto!! It will be my birthday as well.

Congrats to northeastmummy and aurora sky. Lovely news to have two more bfps :)
it's 5 days till my af is due and no symptoms here so far. Think I will do a test in the morning as I have a few cheap ones, just in case!
I'm convinced it's not my month this month and acted accordingly last night when out with friends. I drank quite a lot so hopefully won't affect anything :s

northeastmummy · 05/12/2010 19:22

Oh goodness - thank you all for your congratulations!

I'll be on here every day hoping for more good news. I'm now symptom spotting and already worrying that something's going to go wrong!!!!!

I had the most amazing news today. One of my close friends lost her baby in May this year - he was a week old Sad. Anyway, she just told me she's 5 weeks pregnant - sooooo excited for her!

RugbyWidow7 · 05/12/2010 20:32

Hi Raven that's really helpful - thank you! It does sound like it's quite expensive for the amount of use you get out of it Xmas Wink. I think I'll wait and see how things go for the next month or so and invest at that point if things aren't happening. I'm really sorry to hear about your MC - buckets full of luck for this month!

In my carrying on as almost 'normal' vein - DH came home this wkend, so we got over-excited and went to the pub on our own last night and got pretty drunk - oops. No excuse whatsoever, just misbehaviour! No more booze for me for a while.

That's such amazing news northeastmummy!

My boobs really hurt and I have spots on my chest - weird! (TMI)

DoFliesHaveKnees · 05/12/2010 22:01

I'm stepping off the bus ladies, AF got me yesterday.

Will be giving it a rest until December now, we have a family wedding in September next year and we don't want to steal their thunder by me being in labour on the day of the wedding!

Congrats to all the BFP's!

DoFliesHaveKnees · 05/12/2010 22:02
  • I mean giving it a rest until January now!
Eskarina · 05/12/2010 22:07

Just checking in for a self-pitying grump. Am certain it's not my month as I have no symptoms whatsoever at 9DPO. Am annoyed because I know we timed it right this month. I'm sure I felt more "pregnant" last month as I had really sore boobs and felt sick every evening (my mum has told me that she was never sick in the day when pg, always in the evening). This month nothing. sigh. I just wish it could all hurry up and get the ERTD over and done with so we can start the next 3 week wait until I finally maybe possibly ovulate again. Sad

Eskarina · 05/12/2010 22:26

Sorry doflieshaveknees crossposted with you. Sorry you're off the bus

Teds77 · 05/12/2010 22:56

Esk still very early for symptoms so keep your fingers crossed. It probably won't help but SWI time seemed to take me a little by surprise this month - sometimes it does come around very quickly. Honest! Though hopefully it won't come to that for you.

Fab news northeastmummy and for your friend too Smile

Sorry AF got you DoFlies Sad

KLou111 · 06/12/2010 08:45

So sorry about your friend losing her baby northeast but so glad you are both going to be preggars together.

Sorry you're off Doflies

Well, I am totally confused as normal.

Not tested since Saturday and thought I won't again until at least Tuesday if no AF.
Last night when I had my just-before-bed-pee I wiped and there was very light pink, gutted! This morning, nothing!

WTF is going on!!!!! Angry and Confused

GetDownYouWillFall · 06/12/2010 11:01

Esk I know how you feel about timing it right but still not getting pregnant. You never know though, some people don't have any symptoms till way after a missed AF. So hoping for you....

However, we timed it perfectly last cycle too (I was OPKing, got the surge, even had ov pains and SWI'd at just the right time) and still nothing.

I read somewhere that even if you time it perfectly, neither of you have any fertility problems etc. it's still only a 25 per cent chance each cycle.

Very frustrating, but I believe that if you keep timing it right each cycle, it's only a matter of time before your 25 per cent chance will come up! (that's what I'm hoping for myself too)

Teds77 · 06/12/2010 11:15

Ooo GetDown that's a lovely statistic. Thank you! Xmas Smile

I was very worried that the 25% chance thing was not related to timing it perfectly and more related to just say doing the deed regularly throughout the cycle.

Klou hope you keep AF at bay...

GetDownYouWillFall · 06/12/2010 11:18

It's definitely 25% even if you time it perfectly Teds so in theory, 4 cycles of perfect timing should do the trick!!

littlemisslozza · 06/12/2010 12:26

Well, I tested on Saturday, BFN, then I tested this morning, BFP!!! Grin Wahoo!
Confirms my suspicions of a 35 day cycle this time. Not counting my chickens just yet as I have experienced early mc before, fingers crossed for a lovely August baby. I already have an August (DS2) and September (DS1) who was actually due in August so it must be my lucky time of year.....!

Good luck everyone.

RugbyWidow7 · 06/12/2010 12:34

CONGRATS Littlemisslozza - that's brilliant! You must be so excited!!

How weird that two days made all the difference to your test - I don't get it!

Well I've spent the morning talking to my heavily pregnant friends - feeling so SO excited for them...and also unbelieveably pretty broody!

P.S. What's the / your secret? Xmas Smile

fel1x · 06/12/2010 13:11

Oh how fab - congratulations littlemisslozza!

I took a test this morning and BFN for me. Still 4 days till AF due so am being impatient really! Will wait until Weds and test again then I think Smile

jaggythistle · 06/12/2010 14:49

I POAS too this morning, also BFN.

Feel like AF is approaching but my temps haven't dropped right down yet so clinging on to wee bit of hope!

Temps probably rubbish though, due to being up loads with poor DS who seems to be teething several molars at once. :(

Teds77 · 06/12/2010 15:01

Congrats littlemiss that's sooper news.

Keep hopeful jaggy

GetDown I'm genuinely a new woman with that stat. Thank you! Though obviously that should mean 100% chance of me getting a BFP this month right?! Maths was never my strong point... Xmas Grin

mrsden · 06/12/2010 16:34

Congrats northeastmummy & littlemisslozza.

AF turned up for me this morning and it's an awful one - heavy and painful, typical! Oh, well just taken two ibuprofen, got a big cup of tea and going to have a long hot bath in a bit.

Good luck to everyone still on the bus, I will keeping checking in to see how you are all doing.

Getdown I like that fact, it gives me hope that it will soon be my turn. After 5 months I had started to think that something must be wrong because I think we are getting the timing right and doing everything we can but still it hasn't worked. I just need patience!

KLou111 · 06/12/2010 19:02

Congratulations littlemiss finally seem to be get more good news on this bus.

Has anyone heard from/seen on another bus Bexxaa, kayjayel, kat2504, Wombat33, jilko?

I'm still confused, has a tiny bit of brown on wiping today after the tiny bit of pink before bed last night. Usually if AF is coming, it comes straight away. Been wearing a pad today and nothing. Will test again tomorrow morning if (fingers crossed) AF doesn't come. Hoping I OV'd late [hopeful face]

Sounds like it could be implantation klou fingers crossed for you.

queenrollo · 06/12/2010 19:53

well i POAS this morning as AF should be here today/tomorrow but BFN.

not really feeling lucky this month.....so hope AF doesn't keep me waiting as I was sure the herbal stuff had sorted my cycles out. Still got very sore boobs, though it's my nipples that really hurt and today I have quite a few more spots broken out.

Been a whole year now TTC with no luck Sad going to be time to go to the GP and get prodded and poked isn' it? DP is genuinely upset and now blaming himself saying he's sure the problem is with him and that he'll probably never be a daddy Sad

ravenlocks · 06/12/2010 20:02

After pouring over TCOYF at the weekend I now get the CM thing. I have checked just now and I have fertile CM (TMI?) And where is DH? 500 fecking miles away of course!! Hope this stuffs hangs around.

Congrats littlemiss!!!!
