Come and join me if you are TTC an August baby [hgrin]

This is my first bus and I think I am being brave in starting the engine.

mslk - yes join the awful limbo, BFN this morning (again! where's that wet fish?) but no AF
Terrible headache today and serious irritability - nothing new some may say!
Waiting to hear someone's GOOD news - anyone....?????

ravenlocks · 01/12/2010 18:58

getdown gutted for you, the thread won't be the same without you so do keep checking in with us. Hope you are coming out the other side of the crushing disappointment of AF.

Hate the "luck" component of TTC, in most other things in life you get out what you put in and it is so hard to accept that isn't the case with TTC.

Good luck to those in limbo.

queenrollo · 01/12/2010 19:33

ravenlocks sorry you made me chuckle then.

If TTC works then you most certainly do 'get out what you put in' Grin

I'm having some niggly cramping this evening - has moved from my left side to low down in my abdomen now. And my boobs are sore, but not all the time - for example having a wash in the bath last night was very tender, but lying on my front in bed is fine.

I'm going crazy........

kat2504 · 01/12/2010 19:58

Well another bus ride is pretty much over for me as I have had BFN. Waiting for the evil RTD to arrive in the next 2 days.

ravenlocks · 01/12/2010 20:49

Ha ha queen hadn't thought of that. Remninds me of a story my great Aunt told me. She was a good Catholic girl and didn't know about birds and bees until after she was married. She got pg and didn't know what was going to happen when her mother told her "what goes up must come down". Not sure if she was winding us up or not, but hope it was true!

Sorry kat, hope ERTD stays away.

MrsP81 · 01/12/2010 21:02

Awwww getdown, I'm sorry AF got you. Hope you'll feel a bit better once CD1 is over and done with.

And kat2504, its not over til its over as they say.

Esk,I am a Hertfordshire lady too!

And I've dithered over this post for so long I've forgotten what else I was going to say. Is that a symptom of pregnancy I wonder? Hmm

mslk · 01/12/2010 21:07

Sorry AF got you Getdown, hugs

Hang in there Myweeangel and Kat

My symptoms seem to have vanished, I?m guessing AF will be here tomorrow.

MrsP81 · 01/12/2010 21:07

I've remembered now! FF has rated our chances as "High" this month due to some superbly timed SWI. Which will make it all the more disappointing if it doesn't work.

HmRo · 01/12/2010 21:30

Hi all, new to TTC but feeling a bit thick what does AF mean???
Other half is also rating our chances as high this month as had a fab get away perfectly timed a great SWI (looked up what that one meant!) Grin

queenrollo · 01/12/2010 21:43

welcome HmRo

AF = Aunt Flo = period

well girls I have been having some really sharp pains tonight......doubled over at one point Hmm

Think I'm going to get my hot water bottle and retire to bed with my book.

mslk · 02/12/2010 08:21

Hope you're feeling better queen

Well, I'm no longer in limbo. AF has arrived today and she's being particularly nasty! It hurts Sad

Can understand not being pg, first time and all that. Not sure where the symptoms came from I've had the last 2 weeks, never had anything like them before. Thanks for the ride, have learnt loads and good luck to those still in the game. Smile

Oh well, next time.........

mrsden · 02/12/2010 09:34

Sorry AF got you mslk Sad Since ttc I have noticed all sorts of symptoms, I think it makes you hyper-sensitive to everything your body does.

Can someone pass me that wet fish please, I have just spent the last hour looking at prams on the internet. My excuse is that I am very bored with being snowed in!

I have not had any more brown spotting so not sure what was going on. I have no pregnancy symptoms but I was thinking that if tests are not accurate until at least 4 days before AF due then that means that hormone levels can't be that high in the 2ww so maybe it's normal to feel normal. Does that make sense? Or should you feel something before AF is due if you are pregnant?

RugbyWidow7 · 02/12/2010 10:19

Hi Mrsden, have you thought about testing yet or are you waiting for af?

This snow makes matters worse, I agree, too much time to think in 2ww! I'm also confused, as my body seems to be giving me all the signs this month - also TTC month 1 - it's amazing. Ovulating was v obvious. I'm getting lots of strange pains and feelings. Much more than normal'. I felt so emotional last night. Is this how phantom pregnancies work?! Xmas Grin (loving the santa hats!)

I'm being so lazy, like trying to conceive is a reason not to exercise etc - like it could dis-lodge the egg or something - so silly!

Must pull myself together!

Fingers crossed for you Mrsden. So sorry af got you Mslk.

fel1x · 02/12/2010 10:32

Sorry AF arrived mslk, we really are having a bad month this month arent we?

I am pretty much snowed in here, SO much snow!!!
DH away as well, so am hoping that his flight is not cancelled so he will be able to get home for the weekend!

RugbyWidow7 · 02/12/2010 10:39

same felx - totally snowed in. DH also away. I'm stuck at parents. Missing meetings. really hoping to be able to move home on Sat - if DH can get back! Very strange. May consider baking this afternoon - the daytime TV novelty is wearing off!

fel1x · 02/12/2010 11:00

Hope you get home soon then Rugbywidow, must be strange being snowed in but not actually in your own home!
We are getting a bit of cabin fever here. We are usually out and about every day but been stuck in all week pretty much!
DS1 still getting to school as have been able to walk him there (its taking us an hour but still ok!) but have been having to leave DS2 with my neighbour while we walk to school as he's too little to manage the walk and not able to get buggy through the snow! I'm lucky to have fab neighbours Smile

RugbyWidow7 · 02/12/2010 11:08

Your neighbours sound amazing! Well done for persevering!

My folks are also on holiday, so it is very strange being here - have to keep hand washing the few clothes I have (TMI). Xmas Smile

We're wondering whether to get DH to come here from London, or back home (trains depending!). We're also moving back south in 3 weeks, so need to arrange that really. Lots going on, but it's nice to have an excuse to put your feet up!!

I bet your little ones are enjoying the snow?

mslk · 02/12/2010 11:08

Thanks peeps. Think you're right mrsden probably given my body more attention in the last few weeks than in the last 30 odd years!

I'm not due AF until Sat so going to resist testing. I'd rather AF turn up than get a BFN.

Is anyone else close to testing?

Teds77 · 02/12/2010 11:52

Oh GetDown so sorry AF got you and ((hugs)) to mslk and sillybilly Sad

Kat, KLou and myweeangel any updates? Hope you're hanging in there - there must be some BFPs soon.

Hope Esk and queen are feeling a little better and welcome to HmRo.

Am gearing up for some SWI here at the back of the bus. Determined that I will get out what I put in this month... Grin

Eskarina · 02/12/2010 14:49

mslk and sillybilly sorry AF got you. Fingers crossed for September.

Teds I'm not feeling great still, but thanks for asking. It's soooo cold here. I've had the heating on all day, am dressed in so many layers and am hugging a hot water bottle, and I'm still cold.

Mrsden that's very restrained of you! Although I fully agree with you on the rather AF than BFN front, I don't think I'd manage to just hold off testing.
Actually I have a dilemma on that front. Next Thursday I have my ultrasound scan to see if I have cysts on my ovaries. That'll be 13DPO (by one count, 15DPO by another!!). Do I test before I go? From what I remember from the form they won't do the scan if I'm pregnant, although I really don't know what harm it'll do - ultrasound is surely safe for foetuses Confused

Am symptom spotting already. Have crampy feelings (but also have dodgy tummy which could explain that) and am very hungry (again, colds tend to make me hungry), and I think I must be the only person in the world to equate not sore boobs with a symptom - well, I always get sore boobs after ovulation, so surely the absence of them means something right?? Xmas Grin I'm mad I know

myweeangel · 02/12/2010 15:30

Gutted :(
AF this morning.
Had kinda got myself ready for that but it's still sad. 2ww is such torture.
We weren't trying particularly hard this month (working our finances up a bit before trying for another baby) but that didn't matter, we so wanted one. Might start trying now properly and better luck next month. Will keep in touch...
Sorry for you too mslk :(

GetDownYouWillFall · 02/12/2010 15:34

Oh dear sorry for mslk and myweeangel. I know just how you feel Sad. Cycle day 2 is definitely better though! Am feeling more positive today and looking forward to our next chance this month!

Eskarina · 02/12/2010 15:42

Sad myweeangel

getdown glad you're feeling more positive today
