could be something very simple and very easily fixed

could be nothing at all

did you know the average amount of time to conceive first child is eighteen months, that means that many people take 2 or 3 years to balance out those who conceive quickly

its tough, its annoying but you're on the right path

Vaunda- dont worry. i have a DS who is 4 but me & dh have been trying for a second child for just over 2 years. it was a year 1/2 before we concieved and im sorry to say i miscarried. i also miscarried in may (almost 2years to the day since we started trying). I know its hard and at least i have my ds as some form of comfort but you have to beleive you will get that little bundle!

if you need anymore support come over to the conception thread- allaboardthebeanieexpress.com- thers loads of us ladies in the same boat.... it can really help to vent sometimes.

Vaunda,

Allaboardthebeanieexpress is actually on this conception page message board - its not a website but a thread. Just look down the page from the start of this conception message board at the top and you'll see it (think its now about 7 or 8 messages down).

I would say that BOTH of you should be tested further; the problem may equally lie with your man as well as your good self. I would ask your GP to refer you to the subfertility dept as a couple regardless of how your blood test results come back. He should be tested as well.

Hope this helps

vaunda- sorry its not a website- its here on mumsnet......

Vaunda · 10/09/2005 11:07

Sorry i should have added, DH (now getting over his shock) has to go for testing. Where he comes from they are not as forward as here and many of the young men/ women are not aware that men can be the problem with conception. I know him and his brothers were not aware of this....
