Welcome to our new thread where everyone's welcome. Sit back with your favourite drink and get all those 'suspicious' symptoms off your chest including the ever popular suspicious boob (sb).

If you're squeamish this may not be the thread for you, as this thread is dedicated to those with strange goings on where no symptom is TMI.

Good luck to us all for that elusive BFP to arrive soon. Who'll be the first to get one?

ajasec I have exactly the same symptoms as you and yes i have negative tests too. To top it all off I had a proper tantrum yesterday- very out of character for me have been very embarrassed ever since Blush dp didnt mind though as he has decided im pg. I apparently had a strop last time. Did anyone else? I also have cramp/pains right side. Found my korma hot, felt hungover 2 days in a row and hungry- until now i havent had much of an apetite. Can anyone enlighten me? Radley i'll check your thread asap. I really hope for both you and shelleylou something happens on your special days. I conceived my ds shortly after dp's grandad died. assassin sounds promising to me. Very annoying about the doc's though making you wait. Hope everyone is ok :)

arthursmum · 05/09/2010 09:19

I am going to risk jumping back in again...

Have been trying to be very chilled out about ttc, but really am a seething mass of worry and symptom spotting so here goes;
Sensitive nipples (but when pg with DS my boobs really hurt and its nothing like that)
Felt sick for no reason last night
Backache
Weepy
Really greasy skin with lots of spots
All of which are classic AF signs (not sure when I am due on as have ridiculously erratic periods).

A quick question, and please tell me if this sounds really icky, I was thinking of getting a Clearblue Fertility Monitor but can't really afford one, is getting a pre-loved one totally gross, or an economic miracle?

shelleylou · 05/09/2010 11:54

I think its a nice way for a theoretical son to have a link with his uncle who i know would have adored him as he did ds. Hope you get your special day Radley. Im not sure how i feel about the possibility of db's birthday as a birthday for a child not sure if im ready to deal with that yet. All i know is whatever happens i will still lay flowers at the scene that day whether i have to discharge us from hospital or not lol.

AuntFlosAssassin · 05/09/2010 13:17

allthatjazz my dp has decided im pg too like yours has lol not cause of me being stroppy (im always like this Grin),but cause my boobs look so weird lol

We were watching a dvd last nite and my nipples suddenly felt like they were on fire. I pulled my jammie top up to see what was going on and noticed that my nipples were huge and a big blue vein has appeared on my boob. Dp then commented that my nipples look a different colour Blush.

No burny nips for me today though they do feel very sensitive, and have done so for a couple of days. Ive still got a crampiness down below and have been constantly feeling headachy, not so sore that i have to take tablets but enough that my head constantly feels heavy

Ajasec · 05/09/2010 18:13

Hi Guys,
Hope you're all ok. I've more symptoms to report - absolutely knackered, dizzy, feeling really sick, metallic taste in my mouth. Plus all the other symptoms still. No AF, but again tonight BF-bloody-N! Angry
Radically p*ssed off! Allthatjazz, I wish my dp was as understanding as yours - he thinks I'm losing my mind. Your symptoms sound very postive.
I'm thinking of starting a thread asking how long people have been pg before getting a BFP. What do you think?

row78 · 05/09/2010 19:14

assassin it's awful waiting for the results isn't it? We had the same thing and even when we did see the consultant I wasn't sure why someone on the phone couldn't just read out the figures and the average figures. However the hubby was excellent in all areas so it doesn't mean bad news.

radley and shelley good luck to you both in getting your special dates. Fingers crossed for you both.

row78 · 05/09/2010 19:22

Ajasec - how late are you?

arthursmum I have a CBFM, it is great, very easy to use, showed that I ovulated later than I thought this month and I would have stopped before then otherwise. Once you wee on the stick you take the lid off the other end and put it on the end you weeed on. You then put it in the monitor. So theoretically it shouldn't be all contaminated with someone else's wee. Either way it should be really easy to clean with a cotton bud.

And I would really recommend it because yesterday, 3 days early I was a bit bored, took a superdrug pregnancy test and oh my, there was the faintest of faint lines on it! Did another test today, but late on in the day (not ever FMU), clearblue just to check that superdrug are not dodgy and it was faint, but definately there! So fingers crossed that it sticks!

arthursmum · 05/09/2010 20:00

I am absolutely thrilled for you row78!!!! - I have all my fingers and toes crossed for you! You have definitely given me the kick I needed to go for it, just wait for this month's AF to appear, then will hit the sales and start target practise with my pee!

AuntFlosAssassin · 05/09/2010 20:28

oh row that it great news!!!!! huuuuuge congratulations!!!!!!!!! Grin
Thanks for your words of reassurance re waiting for the results, its good to know that its not unusual for them not to give the results over the phone.

I didnt get to finish my post earlier cause i realised that my roast was nearly ready and i hadnt even put my spuds on to boil yet lol

Rad and Shelley just wanted to say good luck for your special dates.

Arthursmum im the same as you with the spottiness and random bouts of feeling sick-heres hoping its a positive sign for us both.

Rad i had a look at your thread and i def dont think yabu!! I would have done the same in your position. thank god your ds is ok.

A quick update on my symptoms-cramps gettin worse each day, like a constant dragging feeling, and my nips def do look different. I am really hoping that the hsg worked wonders for us this month.

pozzled · 05/09/2010 21:12

Hi all and congrats to those who have their BFPs!

Haven't posted in TTC before but would like to come and join you. I have a DD (2.1). This is my first month of TTC no2, AF due on the 11th sep. But have come straight off the pill so I don't know whether my cycle will be normal this month or take a while to settle?

Anyhow, I'm trying hard not to get my hopes up. Have felt quite queasy the last three evenings. Also pretty tired (but that's not unusual). Had some mild aches and pains earlier on in my cycle but nothing at the moment. I have a test sitting in my bathroom cabinet from ages ago and am determined to resist the urge to test.

AuntFlosAssassin · 05/09/2010 21:16

Hi pozzled,my af is due on 11th as well (normally 30 day cycle but can vary on occasions).
I think holding off on the test is wise,as i def find it much more disappointing getting a bfn than af. Im determined not to test until i am certain it will be a bfp.

AddictedToRadley · 06/09/2010 01:06

Wow Row massive congrats. I'm so excited this new thread seems to be working. Let's hope all the regulars from previous thread and those new to this one get the elusive BFP soon, hopefully before, say, page 10!

Assasin I'm hoping and keeping my fingers crossed for you it does sound very promising.

Thanks Assasin everyone seems to think I'm not being unreasonable to want Tesco to withdraw the toy whilst they investigate not after! Feel a little better knowing that!

Pozzled I have to agree with Assasin about the BFN being so much worse than AF coming. Try to resist as long as you can.

My latest symptoms are quite numerous but the most obvious ones are:

  • Feeling and being very sick but not like when you have a tummy bug ie as soon as I'm sick I feel better
  • My DS pointing at my tummy (just like before when I had the bfp) saying "Baby". Funny thing is though I asked how baby got in mummy's tummy and he said "Yum yum" and rubbed his belly! Bless him, he thinks mummy's got a baby in her belly because I ate it!! Grin That'll take some explaining!!

Sorry posted before I'd finished Grin

Thank you everyone who's wished Shelley and I luck for our special days. Even if I don't get mine I don't mind as baby will still have an important connection to Grandad by having his name. I'm sure my dad is watching my ds as ever since the day dad died ds looks into a corner of the room (dad died in bed directly above where ds looks) and talks to the wall but only ever that wall. Also we have a few pictures in the room of dad and he points to them and says 'Andad' even nobody has ever told him that's Grandad! Oh and whenever we take pictures of ds with that part of the wall in the background there's always a circle (some people call them orbs I think) around ds but never there if ds is not in the picture! I like to think my dad is looking after ds, it comforts me to think that.

crowette · 06/09/2010 06:52

My boobs are no longer super sensitive :( at times they felt like someone was shoving red hot knitting needles into the nipples (ouch) but now, nothing. Tummy cramping is still ongoing, so now I'm sure AF is going to appear at the weekend. Also got spots erupting all over the place. Ah well - sigh.

bossyboop · 06/09/2010 15:01

Hello everyone, havent been around much due to af, but had to pop in and say congrats to row!

Last month was the first time ive been upset by af so this month ive decided to lay off with the symptom checking etc. No idea what day im on, calendar is out of sight, diary isnt getting filled in. I cant be dealing with a late af again so figured if I dont know what day im on I wont know when im due or if im late. Just enjoying time with dh and what will be will be!

arthursmum · 06/09/2010 15:10

Good on you bossyboop!

AddictedToRadley · 06/09/2010 17:26

Oh Bossy I'm so sorry to hear wicked AF got you Sad

I think it's a good idea to give your body and mind a rest for a month. Fingers crossed for you.

AuntFlosAssassin · 06/09/2010 19:19

Hi everyone

Bossy sorry to hear you've been feeling so shitty, heres hoping a wee break from obsessing will do you the world of good.

I still have constant cramps, but i think its probably just af on her way.cm is creamy looking and sticky but have no idea what this means.Confused

Have had such a hectic day at work and im really tired.doesnt help that i was up with ds during the nite as he had a little bed wetting accident (poor child gets very upset when this happens). He is doing great where the toilet is concerned.I took him out of nappies on 12th july, and out of nappies at nite 3 weeks after that and all in we have only had 3 accidents during the day and 3 accidents at nite time-im so proud of him!!!

Hows everyone else doing?

Row have you visited your doc yet Wink

row78 · 07/09/2010 08:55

arthurs - you need to set your monitor for at the very latest the 5th day after your period starts, so make sure you have it by then or you miss a month.

bossy - sounds a great idea, the obsessing can get too much. I always wished I was someone who found out they were pregnant at around 8 weeks so I wouldn't have to do all that. Fingers crossed for you.

Thanks for all the congrats, assassin, I've not contacted the docs yet as I want to make sure it sticks first. I just got my date through for the infertility clinic in Dec and don't want that to be cancelled. Today is my first official day of missed period (though usually I would be spotting for the last 3 days as well) and I meant to take a digital test to check, but what I thought was a digital test in my cupboard wasn't. I took one yesterday but it is still really, really faint. So I'll do the digi one tomorrow and see what it says.

However it does seem that my tubes never were never blocked (or at least one is clear) so that worry is off my mind. And I do think that staying off the booze for a month helped my hormone levels, everything seemed more right in that department this month. (I did have a glass when we went out once a week, just not a nightly glass or two)

arthursmum · 07/09/2010 10:05

Thanks row78 - am holding off a bit as am still waiting for period and can't quite quash the glimmer of hope that I might be preggers. Even though I know I am not. Or am I? :) No. Yes? NO. Maybe.... Oh crikey, I'm back where I started now.

Hello Smile

Hiemmylou long cycles like that are a killer for your mental health i find, all that hanging about waiting, wondering am or arn't i, obsessivly knicker checking etc etc etc
Actually on second thoughts i think ttc in general is just a killer for our mental health!! [manic grin emoticon]

Weeell constant cramping still present with me-its starting to do my head in now, i just wish af would hurry up if she is going to arrive so i can get this cycle over and done with. af not due for another 2 days at least. Im on day 26 at the minute but cycle ranges from 28 to 31 days. Have been known to have a 27 day cycle in recent months which means technically i could test tomorrow, but im not going to..Honestly im def not testing til im feeling sure im pregnant.
No other symptoms to report that ive noticed. Headache has decided to flee and nips arnt burny anymore.

kingfix · 07/09/2010 16:10

How early are we allowed to start imagining spotting symptoms?

I am 10dpo and ridiculously excited because I have woken in the night feeling elated (barmy I know, but this has happened with previous pgs )

and I've been weeing loads and I have one suspicious boob (and one naive boob?).

That must be about as conclusive as POAS, right?

munki · 07/09/2010 16:41

Hello? Can I join you? I'm the world's most suggestible person, so I have loads and loads of capacity for dreaming up crazy pregnancy symptoms.

I'm TTC number 2, started last month but trying 'properly' this month because every time I've conceived previously (twice: 1 baby, 1 MC) it's happened first month of trying, a bit worried it didn't happen last month and so taking it more seriously this time...

Aaaanyway, I'm 10 dpo and seem to remember having symptoms at this point the last two times, of the suspicious boob and wanting to eat pies variety. Now, none of that but - TMI - loads of CM which is quite jelly-like (more so than EWCM). Don't think I've ever had that before AF before - is it normal?

Hmm, way to go off on one for a first post! Nice to meet you all!

M

arthursmum · 07/09/2010 17:19

Hello new arrivals! Nice to see you getting stuck in there munki. I have just got back from the doctors (repeat prescription) and mentioned the ttc. I told him that a few years before I had DS I had a laparoscopy because of severe pains and they found a lot of scar tissue on my tubes. I said that they had discounted PCOS or endometriosis as a cause, but then the doctor today told me 'Oh, it was endometriosis'. Thanks a frigging bunch then, I would have appreciated knowing that 8 years ago, I might have started trying to conceive a lot sooner. Bah humbug.
