It has just occurred to me that having read the TTC threads constantly whilst TTC, I haven't been on once since I got my BFP (more than 7 months ago!) to contribute what worked for me in case any other MNers can benefit!
We were one week away from fertility treatment when I got my BFP. We had been trying for ages - OPKs, Zita West's method etc etc.
The thing that worked for us was, without a doubt, the Toni Weshler book - Taking charge of your fertility, and more specifically following her advice about observing your cervical mucous! Its gross - but by god it works. If you aren't observing your CM now, then this is the one thing that you should introduce immediately into your TTC routine. I had a rough idea of what to look for being buying the book so had been keeping an eye out for the few months before, but the month I bought the book I followed her advice to the letter in relation to checking and analysing my CM, and I got pregnant straight away.
I am aware that this sounds like an advert - I promise I don't work for the publisher or anything - just wanted to share the thing that finally got me knocked up!

Maca did the trick for me - just 1 months course for DD & 2 months for the current pregnancy (14 weeks).
I'd tried loads of other stuff (TTC for 5 years!) including a year of acupncture & TCM. I had a perfect 28 day cycle - you could practically set your watch by me, and all the fertility tests we had came up fine. Maca was my holy grail. Hope it helps someone else Smile

Thanks for the advice girls, its refreshing to see a post such as this.

proseccogirl I'm very interested in this book as I have heard loads of good things about it, might have a look on amazon now and see if its available.

JetLi Can you tell me what Maca is?

Thanks Smile

Cheers girls, nice of you. Just found the guides on the YouTube. Useful but I felt very queasy watching it! I know it's natural stuff and I usually have a strong stomach but I guess I discovered where my limits are!

Saying that, watched it squirming but it was very informative! I was never quite sure which kind of CM to look out for...

Hi - maca is a south american herb used to promote fertility & desire Wink
Can't say it did awfully much for the desire part!
I got mine from iHerb here - they're a US company but ship to the UK no problem, within about a week. Initially I bought it in powder form from somewhere in the UK (can't remember where exactly) but it was quite bitter tasting so I never got beyond 1 or 2 tsps. Hence why I went for the tablets, and I think I found the iHerb ones were the highest strength at the time so I'd only have to take 1 tablet a day. I think the 2 bottles cost me about £15 last time & each bottle has 60 tabs so 4 months supply in all. But I'm sure you'd probably find a UK supplier quite easily now. I just went back to the same place out of habit the second time.
Nice little article here. Lots of hits in google to look at around fertility. It can be taken both by men & women too, but TBH I couldn't have gotten DP to take any kind of tablet so I just used it myself Grin
