Win a Camcorder in The Mumsnet Festive Name Change Competition

Oh yes, we are spoiling you.
So, even though the emoticons haven't got their hats yet, we know how much you like to get into the spirit of Christmas, so we're arranging a festive name change competition and the winner will win a fabbo Camcorder and a copy of Evan Almighty on DVD.

So, what do you need to do?

Post your Christmas name and your usual posting name so everyone can see how clever you are on this thread.

MNHQ will make a shortlist and there will then be a poll on which you can vote to determine the winner.

(who needs X Factor and Strictly, eh?!)

Good Luck!

Oooh, didn't mean to post twice - honest guv!

RuDiegetheRedNosedReinDiege · 08/12/2007 21:22

A very long-shot, but it's kept dh busy with a pen and paper all evening (which is always a good thing...)

RoundJohnVirgin · 08/12/2007 23:09

Changed from Gubbin which the little girl next door used to call me and everyone found hilarious but it doesn't compete with some of these beauties! (fshock)

RoundJohnVirgin · 08/12/2007 23:11

Doh! How do you do the brackets thing?!

aWorminaManger · 08/12/2007 23:11

Am liking QueensPeach

OhGubAllYeFaithful · 08/12/2007 23:26

Sorry only just got it! Used to be Gubbin!

PonkasDrawsAreComingToTown · 08/12/2007 23:57

Here's my attempt.

It does annoy me that I can't punctuate it properly though.

PonkasDrawsAreComingToTown · 08/12/2007 23:58

Oh yes. I'm usually Ponka by the way.

becklesparkle · 09/12/2007 00:29

Not too inventive I know but pregnancy has turned my brain cells to mush!

Look3mincepiesrmorethanEnough · 09/12/2007 08:14

HOw about this - normally 3sEnough (and mince pies are definitely less work than children!)

bookofchristmascarolsmum · 09/12/2007 17:13

bookofchristmascarolsmum

normally bookwormmum or more recently bookofthedeadmum (didn't get around to dropping my Hallowe'en name .

mistletoehangingFromtheGirders · 09/12/2007 17:26

This is my very first seasonal name-change, does it suit me? Normally FromGirders, btw.

mybabysinthemanger · 09/12/2007 17:34

too obvious? (from mybabysinthegarden)

ExDhsNutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 09/12/2007 20:23

I like Queenspeach too I have to confess (reluctantly 'cos I am so keen to win!)

lilolilbethlehem · 09/12/2007 20:53

ExDHetcetcetc.... the rest of us might as well go home now. Your name is ACE and I can't imagine any woman not sharing the sentiments behind it!!!!!

ExDhsNutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 09/12/2007 21:52

Lilo - thank you

lilolilbethlehem · 09/12/2007 21:55

Pleasure - anyone else think we've found our winner?!

ExDhsNutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 09/12/2007 22:17

Mwah mwah Lilo darling I love you.
Sadly I'm not sure everyone else is going to agree as there are some damn good alternatives on here.
But that camcorder would be lovely.....

WhenAChildIsBored · 09/12/2007 22:18

NO, it has to be ME

lilolilbethlehem · 09/12/2007 22:24

WhenAChildisBored is inspired too. But just thinking, if my DH ever did anything which resulted in his becoming my exDH, I'd probably like nothing more than to roast his balls (whether the fire was open or not!)

bookofchristmascarolsmum · 09/12/2007 23:00

I'm just wondering if the balls have to be attached at the point of roasting .

And will they need basting? .

ExDH gets my vote.

lilolilbethlehem · 09/12/2007 23:01

I don't think it matters. As long as it's painful. VERY painful
