Hi all,
I have found few baby clothes made with organic cotton (GOTS) certified, but they are all coloured. I was hoping to find 100% unbleached, undyed organic cotton. Any ideas?
Green fibres have one or two, but that is all.
I wish I was able to make my own clothes!!!!
Do you think second hand clothes will have their chemicals washed away or they are just as bad as new ones?
Any ideas please? I am trying to buy the bare minimum for the baby and most of the stuff is second hand, but am struggling with clothes.

Hi lovey. Tbh I think you might be suffering from "Twitchy New Mum Syndrome" to a certain extent. The baby will be fine. I'm not, myself, a great one for trying to make a child's environment "chemical free" - I mean, everything's a chemical.

In terms of being environmentally friendly second hand is totally the way to go!

Give everything a good wash before and you'll be covered!

You can only do what you can do. And as long as your child is clothed then I wouldn't worry too much.

Also, if you're concerned with chemicals and the environment definitely look into using cloth nappies!

Borrow a load from your local cloth nappy group and try them all out as often only a couple of brands work for your babies bladder capacity and body shape!
