Removal company damaged TV

Not sure what category this goes in sorry if it’s the wrong one.

I have recently done a mutual exchange and and extremely unhappy with the removal company that moved me. Firstly on an email it stated beds would be dismantled and re-assembled the other side. I was asked to do this myself the night before. On the morning of the move they was moving boxes on to the van and could see I was struggling to take down the beds (I am 8 months noticeably pregnant). I did not say anything and just got on with it.
It was a long distance move (3hours) I got stuck in traffic and they arrived an hour before me unloaded the stuff called me to say they was leaving and left the house unlocked for around an hour with all my belongings in!
The same night upon setting my TV up it was damaged and unusable with a broken screen. I contacted the company who her words were ‘you must of broke it yourself’ they refused to take any liability for this but said they would call there insurance. They called me back and told me there insurance would not cover this as they left the properly unlocked. They then refused to pay out or take any liability for the damaged TV. I notified them I would be making a review of my experience to which I was sent unprofessional messages saying they would be seeking legal advice for defamation of character. Basically trying to intimidate me out of making a review.
Can I do anything about this?
I have spoken to one solicitor who says they cannot help me.

Could you claim for the TV through the small claims court?

When they asked you to dismantle the beds you should have referred them to the email where it said that they would do it.

Yes definately keep all correspondance and put a claim in through the small claims court.

How much is the TV worth?

I'm sympathetic with your situation. I've used movers a few times and remember that as they are very fragile, TV's weren't insured by them unless packaged in the original packaging. Is this clause included in your contract?
