I work part time and have been diagnosed with chronic pain among lots of other issues. I have hit the menopause in big style!
I am really struggling with work. I am a manager so I do have a lot of responsibility including staff rotas. I am going between taking some time of work for my mental health but am worried about the staff and their shifts. Most of the staff have various days they can/not work and would someone else take all of this into consideration. Am I daft to be more worried about the staff then myself? I am already dreading Mondays shift and keep thinking of reasons I cant go in. How do I decide what is best to do?

You poor thing, you have a lot going on!
It seems clear, from what you write, that you need to prioritise yourself in whatever way you can. Menopause is tough enough, combined with chronic pain, that's a double whammy! You already mentioned having some time off work, i think if this is working then keep doing it.... Should you be having more time off, can a doctor sign you off for longer? Ask for help from whoever you can. Menopause can make your anxiety worse, this may then increase your chronic pain, then you're in a vicious circle. You sound like a good manager, now how might you manage yourself if one of your staff came to you with the same issues?
Good luck with everything x

It’s normal to care about your staff, but your health should come first.
If you’re struggling with pain, menopause, and stress, taking time off or asking for support is completely reasonable.
