I have been experiencing pain for the past 5 months. It started in my upper right abdomen and I now experience pain on left abdomen, lower and upper back, neck, joints (knees, ankles, toes, fingers).

The pain is generally a stabbing, shooting or burning pain.

Some days are better than others, the last few days have been crippling.

I have had multiple blood test, ultrasounds, CT scans, which were all clear apart from enlarged lymph nodes in my lung (which doctors say would not be causing pain).

Can anyone relate to this? I am losing all hope that I will ever feel “back to normal”.
Could this be fibromyalgia?

Any support is greatly welcomed.

It's so hard to have medical issues and feel you're not getting any help. Some things you could look into are IBD, IBS, hEDS, fibromyalgia, some other autoimmune type thing, intolerances.

Have you tried various things like massage, osteopathy, and therapies that help with muscles and imbalances? I find that sort of thing very helpful in managing hypermobility pain issues, among other things.

Thanks I have been tested for IBD and it was negative. I have been eating a low fodmap diet and was medicated for IBS however that didn’t change the pains. I have also tried massage. I tried gentle walking and swimming, but that me hurt so much more. I am due to start a gentle yoga class today but really don’t feel up to it.

Have you had a colonoscopy? My IBD tests are always negative but guess what? It's just not bad enough to show, but still causes symptoms.

No I haven’t actually! They did blood and stool tests. What sort of symptoms do you have, if you don’t mind me asking?

Abdominal pain, fatigue, muscle aches and pains are the main ones. Comes and goes. Much better since being diagnosed and able to manage it in an informed way.

My last calprotectin was 7.

Could it be Parkinson’s?
Mine is often achy, and in lots of places

I definitely need to look into this more. Before you managed it, were you in pain every day?

It tends to come in phases, though I have hypermobility as well, so that can cause pain all on its own.
