Pain during my whole cycle and getting worse

As the title really, I've been to the doctors about having a lot of pain and really heavy periods and it's gotten worse since having our 1st, born by c section may24. I've had an ultrasound earlier this year but they said everything was fine and so I've now been waiting nearly 8 months for my gynecology appointment which is on 13th November.

I dont know why but I just have a horrible feeling that something is wrong. We're trying for number 2 in a, it happens when it happens, kinda way and it's been 4 months and as of yet, nothing. I finished my period early last week and as usual, heavy and painful as hell, more painful than labour. And then I've had bad random painful bloating and I get pain across my abdomen, back and sometimes it will go away for a couple hours or be on one side.

I think im just looking for others who may have experienced this and if anything was found or how it was sorted. I had a cancer scare a few years back which was more than a balls up fiasco. And had our boy since. I dont know, I guess I feel scared by all the pain and really down about it. I've had many say it's in my head so I fear of that once again.

Also TTC with not a lot happening doesn't help the brain either but that's a separate matter!

I have no experience on this.
But i did read somewhere that i can take up to a year after having a baby for your body to get back to normal.
Sometimes longer going from pre pregnancy to pregnant back to not pregnant, is a big thing for your body.
Lots of changes and changing back again.

But try not to stress to much and do keep bugging the doctors.

I totally get this but my son is 18 months old and I had issues before which kept bring brushed under the carpet.. i just feel something is not right and periods more painful than labour certainly aren't right and I ended up in hospital earlier this year with pain and all they did was check for appendicitis and told me to take painkillers. Worst pain I've ever experienced. Its ridiculous yet im made to feel it's all in my head

Sounds very much like endometriosis, and possibly adenomyosis. A definite diagnosis can only be made via laparoscopy. In some cases, very experienced gynaecologists can diagnose this on an intravaginal scan - but only if it is visible and that is not guaranteed.

Symptom severity and disease progression are not necessarily related, so you can have mild endometriosis with severe pain and severe endometriosis with mild pain.

I would read up on symptoms and tell the gynaecologist you are suspecting endometriosis (if you think that may be it). In my experience that speeds up diagnosis.

I had very similar symptoms and after a few years of back and forth to the GP finally had a laparoscopy which found extensive endometriosis. Nothing showed up on my ultrasound either. I believe endometriosis can only be confirmed with a laparoscopy.

Keep pushing for further investigations. Fortunately once I got to see the consultant gynaecologist he was great about getting things in motion for the laparoscopy and ablation.
