Re occurring dislocations

Both my knee caps dislocate and have done since around the age of 13 . I have hyper-mobility.
I do all the physio , and walk regularly.
I had another knee cap dislocation last Friday and am in a knee brace.
I'm now 29 and have two children so as you can imagine it's very difficult trying to hobble around after a 3 year old and a 1 year old.

Any advice as to good knee supports that don't completely immobilise the knee ?
And any idea if there's anything else I can do on top of physio ?

Going on a low dose contraceptive pill keeps my hypermobility mostly in check. When I'm not on it I'm dislocating all over the place. Kneecaps are the worst, they are the only one that hurt for me. I tried taping mine up (my physio showed me how) and it sort of helped. I also found a weekly Pilates session led by a physio very beneficial too.

My son has this problem and the only thing that worked was surgery. The more often the kneecap dislocated the more damaged and stretched his tendons and ligaments became - so much so that the knee dislocated if he sat down or was turning over in bed. He tried all the physio and all the braces.
He had surgery in the summer - the surgeon said that once he was under anaesthetic the knee just popped out as it was so unstable. It was painful and took a few weeks for him to be mobile but his life has changed, he's no longer constantly in pain and the biggest thing is he's got his life back, he can go out with his mates and not worry. Is working up to playing footy again, but it has made such a difference.
I know it's not what you asked, but maybe think about asking for a referral to a good orthopaedic surgeon just to see...

Thank you both for your replies !
I was wondering if surgery was an option, I feel like I'd have to go private though and not NHS , our hospital sadly isn't the best !
In the meantime I'll carry on doing all the physio and see what happens 🙏🏻
