Hello,

This thread is to share the day to day... The moans, rants, fears, anger of day to day living with pain... And let's be positive where we can too... Little or big achievements.

I've had a tough day with my grumpy toddler who is obsessed with biting, he made my shoulder bleed today 😢

On the plus side, had a great pilates class and managed some tricky stuff despite feeling exhausted... I couldn't have done it unless my teacher was on Zoom telling me to hold it!

I am going to write to my GP today, on the off chance that they can suggest some way for me to be seen and lose the built up shoe before I go on holiday on 27th ☹️ Not very hopeful.

Fingers crossed for repairs @Akire and enjoy your hot tub @cricketmum84. I would love to get in the bath, the skin is flaky on my foot as it will have been in a dressing for seven weeks on Wednesday. It has been changed a couple of times, but it could do with a good scrub. A hot bath does help so much with aches and pains too.

Thanks guys here’s hoping for a decent week all round!

Akire · 16/08/2021 12:42

So I finally got a reply
The Controller and the castors are on order and have not arrived yet.

A repair with an engineer will be booked as soon as the deliveries arrive through the door.

Apologies for the inconvenience, we will be in touch as soon as we can.

Thank you

No hint of time or how long deliveries are taking. It’s not really just an inconvenience when stranded at home is it. So looks like going have to fork out hundreds for supply chair can only hire by the week. My birthday is next Tuesday so don’t want be waiting home for them to collect then. So looks like the earliest I can book is this Wednesday to next Wednesday and risk parts arriving or then having pay for second week.

Evenstar · 16/08/2021 13:17

Oh @Akire that’s really rubbish, they should have a loan chair at least not have people having to pay to hire chairs!

Akire · 16/08/2021 13:53

They do if it’s complete broke but only limited number. So while it’s just about dragging self around flat not priority. It’s NHS chair and only “for indoor use only” in theory so no real need then provide access to the big world outside. I’m more suspicious they know it be weeks and not saying. I mean I could have kids look after or a job they don’t even ask. Feeling depressed now.
