Is anyone starting to feel anxious about the presents they have bought?

I know it is only because it is christmas eve and a bit late, but i am getting increasingly stressed about the presents i have got people.

My grandparents: Bottle of sherry, box of posh chocolate biscuits and some walnuts for my grandad.

My Dad and his girlfriend: A cat (friend was giving it away, my dad's cat has died) posh chocolate biscuits, some christmas teatowels, some walnuts. Also going to make a chocolate bomb to take with us tomorrow.

My mum: some homemade snowflake cookies

My sister: some homemade bathbombs

Other sister and her DP: a yorkshire pudding tray and some christmas teatowels.

Does that sound ok, or a bit crap. There isn't a lot of money in the family at the moment. Lots of cars have gone wrong, people have lost jobs etc.

Starting to think i shouldn't have bothered with anything homemade and should have gone for the gift sets from boots instead....

Thanks. Think i am getting a bit stressed as i am looking at the enormous pile of presents under the tree that people have got us feeling a bit of a cheapskate!

well i'm anxious about the presents i havemt actually bought (or had chance to make ie sew which was the plan but 6 week old making it difficult!) so i think yours sound lovely

Riven - peppermint creams and fudge

Strangely i don't get worried about what to get DD because she is only 2, everyone gets her toys, so we are left with very little to get her. We bought her a cd player (Phillips £25) and some colouring books and pens from the pound shop.

What i mostly remember about christmas as a child is playing with my cousins at my grandmas and eating lots

Lynniep - i had huge plans for homemade christmas, but as usual i am badly organised. I think you have a very good excuse though

I wondered what that noise was!

My dad picked it up from ours on the way home from work yesterday

They sound lovely.

Im comcerned about what DH has bought me. We agreed nothing big and just a few token bits.

I have got him a computer game he wanted and 2 jumpers. Again he had mention he needded more.
He knows about his game and came back from town the other day with the exact same jumpers!! What are the chances. Now he knows both his presents

Last night he adds my presents to under the tree.. big pile of fair size boxes!!

I feel mean that he knows both his gifts but im really not going out to the fight in the shops with a toddler and a bump!

I have already suggested to another mnetter that they wrap themselves up in ribbon. Would that work?
