What are you getting your 15mo DD for Christmas?

Am completely clueless. I have a 3yo DD too, so already have tons of stuff, atm she's really into toy cars, but would feel a bit mean just buying her a pack of matchbox cars for Christmas.

And ITNG, but we have so much of the stuff from dd1's obsession with it, my house already resembles the fecking night garden so am reluctant to add to my ongoing igglepiggle-upsydaisy-makkapakka nightmare.

Any ideas please?

Anyone?

Only 2 weeks till Christmas and I'm geting worried that the poor girl will just have some socks and a ball to play with.

Although she'd probably enjoy that.

One last shameless bump

We aren't getting her much, and I have struggled to find ideas for family too. Her main present is going to be a small ride-on toy. She is more physical than my 3-year old DD (snap!) and so it will be something for her. Your DDs won't know the value of toys at this age, so neither will know that matchbox toys aren't expensive. Could you put the extra money into her savings account, if you feel bad about it?

Have you already got a click clack track?

Or Happyland stuff?

Or a Wheelybug?

Or what about just getting some new books?

All of the above were big successes for DD (4.5) and DS (2) at around this age.

Tikkabillajive · 11/12/2009 08:54

I should add that everything I suggested is still played with on a daily basis by both DC!

am getting

Tomy megasketcher

cut n play food

farm/zoo animals

books

chocolate

for my 17mth old 'little brother'

(pretty much all sourced from ebay, though)

3yo is getting craft box (ie a box from ikea we will fill with loads of bits- pipecleaners, eyes, pom poms, glue, paints in) and maybe a 'hobby horse' she saw in Wilkinson for £4.99 - bargain.

she has asked FC for 'a bag of jewels' (acrylic stick-ons from ebay!) and a surprise

gparents got ds the click-clack track last year and he has loved it since, and now can do it himself.

girlsyearapart · 11/12/2009 09:07

we've got her socks!

And some wooden dominoes, wooden lift out puzzle from ELC.

Mum is getting them a dolls house to share.

Bubble machine went down well with her too.

Adair · 11/12/2009 09:09

Hey, my parents are getting dd a dolls house too. Have suggested it is a present for both of them!

girlsyearapart · 11/12/2009 18:43

not sure how muh harmonious sharing there will be but nevermind..

Sassyfrassy · 11/12/2009 23:07

My 16mth old dd will be getting a musical math with footprints on it, a click clack track and building blocks.

If you want a nice big present the wheely bug is great. Katie has just learnt to get on hers and ride on it and she just adores it. My 4 year old has a go on it sometimes too so I can see it lasting a long time.

Aquadraw as she loves it at nursery, a Timmy Time toy, socks, hair bobbles & clips and a small chocolate reindeer. My parents have got her a pushchair with a doll in it & one of those wooden jigsaws with animals on. She's also getting the usual clothes & books.

Can't wait til she's 3 - the pressies look much more interesting after that!

pispirispisloveschristmas · 12/12/2009 14:22

I'm getting m 19 month old dd a buggy and her granny's getting her a doll. I'm also planning on getting her a couple of cars, a little boat for the bath and maybe a little ride-on motorbike as she's always eyeing them up in the park, though she already has a little ride-on car. Another thing I think she'd like but I'm not getting is a shopping trolley (obssessed with pushing things around the park) and a brush and mop set, in the hope she'd leave the real ones alone!

GhoulsAreLoud · 12/12/2009 14:24

we got some little people stuff and this bean bag chair which we've already given her and she loves.

MrsMattie · 12/12/2009 14:31

'My First Lego' Zoo + Farm
