All I can think of are macaroni necklaces / bracelets painted with food colouring.

Anything else which would be fun to make and fun for her cousins to receive?

Biscuits cut into stars/snowmen and decorated with icing/sprinkles/silver balls?

TheWorstWitch · 08/12/2009 19:34

Thanks for the though, MrChrismasGoAway.
Was hoping for more non-edible thoughts as I reckon all the children will be high enough on chocolate, without more sugary treats

Make tree ornaments with salt dough and let her decorate them.

At toddlers last week even 1 year olds had a lot of success decorating wooden christmas decs from Baker Ross with paint stampers and sprinkling with glitter. Really nice results (and not the usual Mummies doing most of it!!).

get her to make them a sock puppet each. they can all do a show together.

BonjourIvressedeNoel · 08/12/2009 19:44

Deocrated picture frames ( cardboaard borders or posher) round pictures of them.

TheWorstWitch · 08/12/2009 19:45

Sock puppet is an excellent idea!
I suppose if I sew on the buttons, she can glue on some hair.

How do you do yours lucykate?
(sorry to nick your idea)

I have the perfect thing.

Get some old jam jars.

Let dd go wild with some gloopy pva glue and lots of bits of colourful ripped up tissue paper (rip into bits roughly the size of an old 50p or slightly bigger).

When it dries, pop a ribbon around the neck of the jar with a loop to be a handle.

Let her add some glitter if you fancy.

Pop a tea light inside.

Ta-daaaa! Beautiful little 'stained glass' tea light holders which not only did dd actually make herself but they are genuinely nice to use as a Christmas decoration.

Snowmen

Get empty kitchen rolls and glue on cotton wool, roll a head and tuck into the top, googly eyes, paper carrot nose and black paper buttons. Then cut a long thin strip of paper and cut up the middle nearly to the end,Wrap this round the snowmans neck and glue and cut tassels on the ends.

we just use things like goggly eyes, glitter, pipe cleaners, scraps of fabric and card. glue it on with fabric glue though (most craft/art shops will have it), normal glue won't work on a sock, it will dry and this things will come off.
