I always wanted a stylophone. I notice they are selling them in Hawkins Bazaar this year and I have hinted!

and a dog...I always wanted a dog most.

Ooh, I forgot Kerplunk!

Now have it for DD's and I understand why my parents never bought it for me.

I did have a soda stream, I loved making tonic for my Grandads gin.

TBMOM · 30/11/2009 21:16

Thanks BoiledEggsandToastSoldiers I was just thinking what I could have to eat and you've just given it to me!

TheGashlycrumbTinies · 30/11/2009 22:01

I thought you meant you were going to forget the food, and just go for gin!

MilkNoBrandyForSanta · 30/11/2009 22:37

Baby-all-gone...the doll that "ate" the cherries

5 years in a row i wanted one...i STILL want one at 21!

choosyfloosy · 30/11/2009 22:43

Girls World 'styling head'. You and me both NorbertD.

I thought it was sheer snobbery, but mum recently confessed that the staring plastic head just freaked her out.

SoMuchToBits · 30/11/2009 22:45

I always wanted an enormous pink teddy bear, and a doll with a red velvet dress.

But used to get things like a sewing box, and a Scrabble game.

I try now to get ds things he actually wants, rather than what we think he ought to want!

apsie · 30/11/2009 22:48

I wanted one of those mini chocolate vending machines here. Might add it to my list this year, but I suspect it might be a disappointment after all these years.

biscuitsmustbedunkedintea · 30/11/2009 22:49

Was age 5 when I had to go into hospital, and I remember falling in love with Kerplunk and playing it all the time while I was in there. My mum promised me one when I got home.

I eventually received it for my 30th Birthday . However have to admit it was possibly the best present I got that year as it was such a lovely surprise

ButterySpud · 30/11/2009 23:07

All those of you who wanted a Mr Frosty let me just say it was shit!

The plastic grinder bent every time you tried to crush the ice and eventually broke. Plastic is no match for ice and you needed to be Geoff Capes (nice retro joke there, see) to get anywhere...

....a KatyCopyCat on the other hand.....how i coveted one of those!

ThatVikRinA22 · 30/11/2009 23:28

i wanted a soda stream! never got one though. did they actually work?

McDreamy · 30/11/2009 23:30

Play doh barber shop. My children have one! and a chopper!

ShowOfHands · 30/11/2009 23:37

An etch a sketch. DH's grandmother bought one for me last year! I'm 28.
