Best Turkey thread

Last year we went to my mum's where we had a Kelly Bronze turkey from Farmer Ted's farm shop, which I have to say was the best turkey Ive ever tasted, but it cost about £60 so needless to say I wont be affording one of those.

I bought a pre cooked one from Costco for work which was lovely but you can feed the five thousand with it. That cost around £30.

So we have 5 adults and 2 kids to feed on Christmas day, what are you cooking and where is it from.

What about 3 bird roasts, are they as nice as they sound or just a bit of a gimmick.

I have ordered a free range turkey from my local greengrocers. It's from a local farm so is still running around (according to my greengrocer, Bob- not that turkeys do much running).
We have done the same for the past 3 years, it will probably cost about £35, but is worth it.

Nicest turkey I ever cooked was two years ago when I tipsily accidentally put the bird into the roasting pan rack upside down. I did it again last year, on purpose. Turned out very tender again. I feed 6 or 7 for Christmas and hate eating leftovers every day for a week so I get one that's about 16 lbs. With stuffing it weighs about 18 lbs.

Don't know anything about 3 bird roasts, sorry, or pay much attention to where the turkey comes from.

My sister got a 3 bird roast from the farm shop last year and it cost more than the kelly bronze. But dont Aldi do one?
