Why do our kids, when asked by another adult what they would like for Christmas, always say the things we haven't bought! Gah! LOL

DD2 (7) today was asked by hairdresser "what would you like Santa to bring you for Christmas?" to which she replied "Bells". She did write them on her letter to Santa but I didn't get them. Oh dear! Is Santa going to be in trouble or what?!!
I'm not going anywhere near the shops tomorrow, not only that my two girls have more than enough presentwise already and won't be getting anymore.

Sparkler · 24/12/2008 00:31

It's amazing how we can think of an excuse so quickly isn't it?

Its not all bad though, dd2 age 3 1/2 told santa three times now she wants a pony. I've been trying to brainwash her into thinking a bike would be great . Today she told santa she wants a magazine for christmas, I really could have saved a small fortune

jollyholly · 24/12/2008 19:22

DD2 said today that she understands that it's probably too late, but what she'd really really like from Father Christmas is a ride on his sleigh. Oh......

Smithagain · 24/12/2008 19:34

DD2 aged 3 allegedly dictated a letter to her older sister yesterday, in which she suddenly announced she wanted a "pink toy car and a mini laptop"

Sadly, she is going to be disappointed.

FC has written a nice letter explaining why he has bought them entirely different things from what they asked for, but I don't know if it's going to wash

My 2-year-old announced earlier today that she is really looking forward to the guitar Father Christmas is going to bring her.

Well, I hope he's sorted one out, because I certainly haven't!

Sparkler · 24/12/2008 21:04

Let's just tell all the littlies that because of the Credit Crunch Santa has had to be a little selective in his gifts this time round!
I'm sure they'll understand (NOT!!)

DD1 has just told me, not 5 minutes ago, that dd2 announced today that she wants a guitar! No chance of that happening then.

EachPeachPearMum · 25/12/2008 19:14

My DD (2.10) surprised me by telling Father Christmas what she really wanted was some new crayons.... bless her
