Not sure what to do to be honest
I know it has come into her head from the service they went to with the school on the last day of the holidays

The reverend was sayin about make sure you bring one of your new toys to church with you when you come on christmas (this is what she has relayed to me)

and she was saying she wanted to go on christmas day

what would you do?

Christmas service is fairly light on religion and quite short ime (in the churches I have gone to on Christmas morning). Children are normally involved - ours always take one toy and so do others - usually taken up to the front. Some well-known carols are sung.

It is a nice way to spend a little time on Christmas morning imo - my mother always goes, and she is an athiest, but she uses it as an opportunity to think about how lucky she is/people who aren't around/other people she knows etc etc.

We're having a crib service tomorrow, as well!

I was just suggesting a crib service as an alternative-it is shorter.

If you can, find out what's going on tomorrow as well as on Thursday.

Round here, the Christmas Eve Crib service at the parish church is ultra child-friendly, completely packed and provides a lovely feel-good start to Christmas.

Christmas day services (at least at our church) tend to be reasonably child-friendly, but are more of a standard service and no so geared up to the children. Little ones might get bored if they aren't use to going.

I hope you enjoy it, if you do go.

Hope you enjoyed it if you went.
