here

cash is a lot bit tight at the mo, but there was an extra £20 in my bank account today. i really think ds will love it, often plays shop but that extra £20 will come in handy. should i buy it or not? really don't know!

no no no, don't do it!

buy those mini toaster top tins or baby food tins instead

HuwEdwards · 17/12/2008 21:29

no, if cash is tight £20 will come in handy. DS will have a great time anyway.

psychohohohoho · 17/12/2008 21:29

what has he got already, and how old is he.???

and how much do you really need the money.

HuwEdwards · 17/12/2008 21:31

he is 3.5 and ive already got him quite a lot. tbh he probably does have enough pressies and that money will come in v handy. however am worried that if i don't spend it on him it will be frittered away. i know its only £15 but still...

HuwEdwards · 17/12/2008 21:33

oh fgs, take some control woman, WHY must it be frittered away?

beanieb · 17/12/2008 21:36

spend it on you! fritter it away on you!

misscathcart · 17/12/2008 21:36

I'm sure he'll have a great time anyway and the extra pressie won't make a bit of difference to him at all!
If you're worried it will fritter away then spend it tomorrow on essentials that you NEED, before it goes!
How about 15 quids worth of loo roll...?

vesela · 17/12/2008 21:37

If he often plays shop anyway, then maybe he likes spreading the shop things out on a chair or little table or whatever he does already...

merrylissiemas · 17/12/2008 21:39

lol misscathcart, shall pop to tesco's first thing!

i know you're right. i should NOT buy it, was just wavering.

thank god i wsn't signed in on ebay i have no little self control!

If money is tight, be kind to yourself and don't log in to eBay. You will just torment yourself with stuff you can't buy.

And I agree, don't buy him the market. There is a (to my mind convincing) school of thought that the fewer toys a child has when young, the brighter and more imaginative he or she turns out to be later in life.

kyrasmummy · 17/12/2008 21:54

If money is tight don't buy it, but the same is cheaper ''here''

kyrasmummy · 17/12/2008 21:55

Or littlewoods it's £7.50 with free deliver :O

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 17/12/2008 21:58

Don't buy it because it is hideous and most likely cr*p.

Review from the Marshall Ward site "In our opinion this product is not suitable from ages 3 and up as it is very small and would be the right size for a 1 year old."
