Is there one web site where I could do all my present shopping and be confident of a pre christmas delivery?

Hectic times in the jenthehen household and
i don't think I'm going to have the time to make it into town to shop. I have bought a few presents but still have lots of adults to buy for and some friend's children (about £10 each) ages range from 1 to 6. Any suggestions please?

I thought for the children possibly:
lego
moonsand (never tried this but my 2 have asked for it)

really struggling for female friend
previously bought:

photo frames
scarves
potted festive outdoor tub
manicure voucher
basket of luxury foods
homemade biscuits and sloe gin
jewellery
madonna cd
river cafe cookbook

we're lifelong friends and now I'm struggling for inspiration, please help

ps her prsents to me are either lovely or completely odd ie the worst ones were; a book of chinese prison paintings and a huge teapot with christmas patterns on it...
oh dear I'm struggling....

John Lewis have been good so far this year, very prompt and free postage.

Tesco Direct have been excellent. I order an extra wii remote and nunchuk at 4pm on Saturday, later on I decided to get Mario Kart, so did another order about 7pm. Both orders received today at 12pm. I was very impressed.

On the other hand my parents sent a box from Scotland last Monday first class (cost over £8 to send) which I eventually received today. (I live in the East of England)

I have always found Kiddykool to be very quick on delivery , great for toys for the younger kids.

John lewis has also been great this christmas , especially with free postage

John Lewis- pay £6 for guaranteed next day delivery.

I've also found M&S good this year, although lots of stuff out of stock online now.

agree about Thetoyshop.com (used to be The Entertainer), they use home delivery who lobbed a parcel over our back fence because we were out
Then they said they would replace the item and instead refunded it because it was out of stock!!

Amazon - i've ordered almost everything from there this year

beforesunrise · 15/12/2008 19:13

another vote for Amazon. you can also sign up for a free trial of a premium service that gives you free one day delivery (remember to unclick the auto update button to avoid being hit with a 47 pounds bill in january!)

amazon can be very risky - seem much better this year but last year things were still not here by March in spite being in stock.

I would try a company you can ring up - they might be able to be specific that they will despatch on a particular day.

I keep recommending this site [[http://tickseed.co.uk/ tickseed] because I've had such good service from them - honestly don't work for them! Not just toys - look at gifts as well. A lovely vase for your friend?
