I want to make up a stocking for dd for christmas.
I thought I'd put in bubble bath and wash cloths etc but I also need some little gift/toy bits.
Any ideas for an energetic, crawling, cruising little girl??

a little teddy in the top- they have some nice little ones in tesco, nice new toothbrush, chunky crayons to start her off with colouring, chocolate coins, first dolly- they have some nice soft bodied ones around.

tbh i would just wrap up things like your wooden spoons, fir cones etc. even balls of newspaper scrunched up will be fun.

Thanks for your reponses so far. Crayons might be a good idea as we are starting an art group in January.

She has a first dolly for christmas already with the fisher price buggy walker thing!

I thought it might be nice to include some bits she could keep to commemerate her first christmas (PFB ~ could you tell ).

Need to be little bits though as I've already done her main presents (and added to them).

oh,musical instruments! (rattle/maracas/rainmaker/shakers)
cuddly toy
booksand morebooks(buggy books?)
socks
a soft decoration for the tree?

witchwithallthetrimmings · 12/12/2008 11:01

honestly they really don't get presents a this age. Buy an photo album and take loads of pictures of her during the day; she will love to look through this when she is older

Umlellala · 12/12/2008 11:02

poundshopoften have soft balls too - a big hit!

GiraffeAHolic · 12/12/2008 11:06

WWATT I know that she wont understand and I must admit a lot of it is for me really.
I lost my mum at christmas year before last so this is my way of trying to make christmas special and bearable and making sure our long awaited first dd (2.5 years TTC) has the best first christmas imaginable

Buggy books are a good idea and maracas definately.

I've just remembered that I wrapped up some bath toys that could go in it too.
