Last year, Junior Pass the went down really well with s - 4 year old dd.

This year, am buying Cranium whoonu after friend's reccomendation - players get five cards with activities ie ice-skating, eating cake and have to order them according to what they think a nominated person will prefer (I don't think I've explained that very well!)

Sorry - meant Pass the went down well with s and children!

DD has recently discovered Frustration (she's 3.9) and loves it.

We play cards (Newmarket) at Christmas. Other games that are popular in our family include...

Sorry - Fab game, but can't buy new.
Pictionary - Can be played from quite a young age.
Uno Extreme - My 5 year old DD gets this game and loves it.
Cranium - Excellent, but needs older children
There is a similar game that uses Playdoh, that is very good too, but can't remember what it is called.

Kerplunk. My toddlers love it. I'm coveting the wooden version in GLTCo at the minute.

Oooh lot's of suggestions, i like the look of Perudo. Has anyone got/played Tantrix?

tantrix is fantastic, you can play it on a really basic level, but you can also get into the strategy of it. I got it in NZ 9 years ago and recently saw a magnetic one that comes with a board and was very tempted to get it. The only thing wrong with it, imo, is that the pieces get knocked when playing, and the magnetic one would solve this. Have played it a bit with my 6yo over the summer and he really likes it.

Planning on getting Pictureka as a family present so good to hear that a 4yo can play.
