I am thinking of getting this for my 2 dds, one is 18mo and one is 3.5. What do you think/ in your experience would be the upper age limit for playing with these? i dont want to buy it if my eldest dd is going to be too old for it when she is 4? thank you

I'm not sure which one you're talking about but sounds v similar to one my MIL bought for the dcs when they visit her. They both adore it - similar ages to your two, dd will be 4 just after Christmas. Can't see her growing out of it any time soon, though might be the novelty factor as she doesn't see PIL very often. On the other hand she loves her nasty yellow plastic one in the garden shed too! Get some playfood and some saucepans for maximum fun and I'm sure they'll love it.

I think that one looks lovely and it's quite big so should take a long time to physically outgrow, I would think. My dd is also 3.5 and a long way off getting bored with toy kitchens etc.I remember playing 'shops'for many years as a child.

I got my then 3.5 year old the wooden stove top kitchen set and mixer last Christmas. She is not interested in it Not sure if she is too young or just not her.

We bought this last Christmas for my DS who was then 2. He loves it still and my oldest, age 9, plays with it with her friends sometimes (and even occasionally with her brother..)! Def get some saucepans and playfood as cantandwont suggests.
