Has been years since I went to the theatre, what are the seats to avoid again. The circle looks ok high up and cheap,is there a reason against?

Will have 3 dc with us 5,5 and 4. Are they old enough to enjoy it?

The best seats are the ones at the bottom near the stage. For some reason they are the most expensive, however the well behaved children are the ones that are picked to go up on stage for treats. This is how it works in Derby and it makes me so .

You do get to see it all in the circles however everyone looks small. They should be old enough, I took ds to his first one when he was 4.

How high is the circle? We went to see Cbeebies live in Nottingham and the seats at the back were so steep and high the children were terrified and crying their eyses out.

We were quite near the front - Justin waved to us - sooooo excited !!!

If you are front rows there may be quite a sheer drop which could be scary for littlies. A few rows back and you should be fine

So is it still worth doing in the upper circle or will we need binoculars??????

It will depend very much on which theatre as well. Newer theatres tend to have good sight lines even from the upper circle, many older theatres have some sight restrictions although this should be made clear to you when booking. It also depends on the size of the theatre. Which one are you thinking of going to?

One tip - have you considered a box? We went to panto last year with 2 Dcs and a box was exactly the same prices as 4 tickets. You are at a slightly strange angle, but great views. No chance of getting called onto stage (a bonus, in my book!).

Dd was just 4 and it gave her the ability to stand up - and at one stage sit on the floor at the back of the box. She did find it very hot and a bit overwhelming (its v noisy) and she is not particulalry delicate.
