I've been after one of these for ds for ages - 4 stores and online are all sold out - I dont suppose anyone has one they would be willing to sell? Or has seen one in their local store?

geordieminx · 17/11/2008 11:29

Thanks Mrs B, there is one on there that looks similar..£15 more expensive - I've looked at the ones in ELC/Argos, they didnt look as good as the Toys r us one...

NB if DS has never seen the Toys R Us will he mind or even notice if the one you get isn't 'as good'?

just a thought...

We got the Argos one last year. Rubbish quality. We've now got wooden brushes / imitation Dyson etc which get played with a lot.

geordieminx · 17/11/2008 11:43

He's only 18 months so wont probably mind or care (he's the same baby that was in the picture you photoshopped...ooooh bout 15 months ago?)

Its just the one in Toys r us makes sounds, and seemed to come with more stuff - hoover, squirty spray. I'm sure I could always buy a squirty thing separately.

18m!

get him a dustpan and brush and if he's still into it then a Dyson for his birthday

geordieminx · 17/11/2008 11:57

He has a my dustpan, my hoover, my the idea was to get him this to stop him wanting the others, an 18 month old brandising a full sized wooden sweeping brush is always going to end in injury - usually to the cat or the tv.

saw the end off?

geordieminx · 17/11/2008 12:00

sawing his arms off would be better

We had one very similar to the ELC one. It was without doubt the best money I ever spent!

DS is now 7 and we have held on to his till now but it is about to go to a local orphanage. Every child who came into the house has played with it.

My mother in her wisdom gave me one of those hideously patterned brooms and dustpans last christmas. DD instantly adopted it and likewise I worried for the safety of my windows wtc. However it did come in 3 parts, so DH unscrewed it, lost the middle piece and hey presto! Toddler sized broom and dustpan.

DD was given a cleaning trolley for her birthday, all Cif branded, came from T K Maxx apparently if you want to check there
