Dream Town Rose Petal Cottage - actual dimensions?

Hi, I wondered if anyone has the Dream Town Rose Petal Cottage and could give me the actual dimensions when constructed please. I'm thinking of buying it as a Christmas present for dd and it is supposed to be 100cm wide and 100cm deep - is this accurate? The thing is I have a space just slightly smaller where a play house has to go so if it is a little smaller it would mean we can buy it.
Also does anyone have the cottage or another play house? Is it worth the money and/or do you have any other play house recommendations?
Thanks in advance.

Bumping for you.

We have this. It comes in two halves, when
they are put together to make a cottage ours measures 98cm wide and 97cm deep. But you can put one half inside the other when not in use and then the depth is 50cm. One thing to note is that when my daughters have the furniture and kitchen set up they like to leave a big gap between the two halves so they have more room, this obviously makes it a lot bigger.

Hi, Sorry cant help with dimensions but I am wanting to buy this for my DD's. My friend has this for her DD's but it broke the day after she brought it through forcing the plastic poles together. It seems nice but i wouldnt pay full price for it. ELC have it reduced at the mo.

Can I ask how old your children are please mumpy? My girls are 6 and 2 yrs old. Can they stand up in it?

frazzled74 · 17/11/2008 13:14

my 5 year old keeps asking for this, is it too small for 5 yr old?(she is quite tall).and is the shop any good?

mumpy · 17/11/2008 13:23

My girls are 3 and 7. The 3 year old can stand up in the centre of it but even she has to bend her head to get in the door. As I said they do tend to play with it opened out, so they are fine sitting in it but my older daughter does tend to sit or kneel when they use the cooker. If you do buy it I would advise you to put it together on Christmas Eve as putting the fabric on the frame can be tricky

we got it last year - very reduced on amazon iirc.

My girls play with it alot, but one of the poles did break at some stage over the last year (fixed with masking tape though )

I would say a 5 year old would find it a bit small when it is a proper cottage but it would be ok if the two halves were separate. The early learning centre have a video of the cottage on their website.

Thanks for all your help with this, it seems it will fit where I need it to but will have to think carefully as it looks as though it might be better where my DD can play with the two halves spaced apart a bit.
