Every year we do up about 6 small baskets of goodies and put them on the doorsteps of strangers with a wee note stating ingredients and wishes for the season.
I would love some new ideas generally we do
Home made choc
shortbread
Truffles etc
Absolute favourite is
1 pkt toffee pops (toffee filled choc biscuits) smashed
1 250g tub cream cheese.
Mix together and form small balls. Dip into melted chocolate and allow to set ( I know it sounds odd but is very yummy) Any others please

What a beautiful gesture, justgotbfp. It restores my faith in human nature and must be a lovely surprise for the recipient.

My only suggestion is little sweet cases with a spoonful of melted choc and a marshmallow pushed into the chocolate - children love them and you can make millions of them in one go.

HUG for bringing a little bit of magic to someone's life. x

This is easy and really nice -

melt chocolate,12 pack of butter and a tin of condensed milk in a bowl over water.

Add a packet of either crushed digestive biscuits, or muesli or ginger snaps and mix into the choc/milk mix.

Squash the lot into a baking tray and put in the fridge for an hour and voila - really good tray bake!

yum, thank you. I am in NZ so butter is in 125g or 250g packs hers, how much does 12pack equate to.

1/2 a pack of butter is about 125g here blocks are sold as 250g hth.

Oops! I forgot the stroke between the 1 & 2.
That made us look like serious butter addicts.
Thanks zippee.

my mum makes the marshmallow things Gentle Otter describes (at 9.34), but with a dot of melted chocolate on the top and a smartie stuck to it - they have gone down well for two generations now and are very easy.
