We are a bit broke this year but want to get my friends kids something small that they can all enjoy at some point. Budget is £20 ish. All I can think of is:

Space hopper
Kite

Are these crap ideas and do you have any others??

kite is a really good idea -
otehrwise it is something for a fiver each?

a board game, or Twisters

BaDaBing · 02/11/2008 21:13

Something crafty possibly - paints, playdoh, cookery type set etc?

misselizabethbennet · 02/11/2008 21:13

Art/craft set
Set of walkie-talkies

slayerette · 02/11/2008 21:15

How about one of those play parachute thingies - they can all play with that together rather than one after another then.

CuppaTeaJanice · 02/11/2008 21:15

Some sort of game they can all play together.

Twister, quoits, boules, paddling pool etc.

ramonaquimby · 02/11/2008 21:17

boardgame? the 1 year old will be left out for most things...(lets be honest!)
Or a cooking/baking hamper? could get sprinkles/cake mixes/muffin cases/ that sort of thing

sheilatakeabow · 02/11/2008 21:19

If you get a baking set, then at least the little one can eat part of the present

SlartyBartFast · 02/11/2008 21:43

DesperateHousewifeToo · 02/11/2008 21:46

Jenga?

Thankyouandgoodnight · 03/11/2008 15:04

oooh there are some good ideas here - what are the play parachute thingies? I've never heard of them! Walkie talkies also sound fun. I can't offer vouchers of any kind as they're in a different country .

Amazon.co.uk have some half price offers on cranium board games at the moment. Might be worth a look!

xserialshopper · 03/11/2008 15:50

Games table or football table or even snooker/pool table (off ebay off course)

UniS · 03/11/2008 19:53

Books

slayerette · 05/11/2008 16:57

Sorry - just returned to this thread! The play parachutes are these sorts of things

FimboGotAxed · 05/11/2008 17:06

Tesco sell the parachutes as well.

Thankyouandgoodnight · 05/11/2008 20:16

How curious - I am obviously being totally dim but how can holding the edge of a parachute possibly be any fun? Does it do anything?

The walky talky thing is good. I always wanted one of them as a kid. A kite is a good one too. All kids like them, get's the family bonding - in harsh conditions...
