Who do they think bring them?

I want to start this tradition with ds (2.8). I have always got pj's for christmas and for the last 2 christmas's have bought some for ds but it never occured to me to wrap them to wear on christmas eve. I need a good story to tell him

We do it too - I give DS PJs, a Xmas book and a Xmas DVD to DS late on Xmas Eve afternoon and then we have dinner (usually staying at my parents and it is always lasagna!), shower, PJs and all snuggle up on sofa for Xmassy DVD.

Then we try to get DS to bed and DH usually has to go too as DS hates going by himself and I have to stay awake to be Santa! Last year I ended up going to bed as DS wouldn't go to sleep and then I had to try and stay away till he was asleep. DH was snoring away by this time!

ours are all tied up in the tradition of seeing father christmas on xmas eve anyway.

we go see FC, take the children for lunch to the place of their choice (always seems to be mcdonalds), we then go for a walk and to feed ducks and then take them out to buy the family game of that year.

We then come home, pile the children into the bath and I put their PJ parcels on their beds.

once they are all clean and warm and cosy, we do the letters to FC and put out his goodies, and then have a carpet picnic before bed......

no cover story as such, it is just in keeping with the magic of that day anyway

My friend sends hers through the post from santa. She says he can't send the rest of the presents through the post because the postmen don't come xmas day but they do come xmas eve.

Just read a post elsewhere from someone who says that the PJs are left by the elves who are doing their last naughty/nice check before FC arrives. Thought that was a pretty plausible cover story.
