Dd1 is getting baby annabell and accesories have some bits and looking for more ! Birthday Jan!
Peppa pig always goes down well here too!

juliejukes · 01/10/2008 21:48

Peppa Pig a big deal in this house too, she also gets a bit excited at the doll whose teeth come though - I have trained her to shout BOO BARBIE or BOO BRATZ when she sees them!

WantThisWantThat · 01/10/2008 21:56

It's my DDs 3rd bday in 3 weeks time. She is dolly daft and keeps taking the buggy's off the other kids in the street so I think we are going to go for a double buggy and possibly the twin Baby Annabell dolls that respond to each other. Not really sure why I am going along with more dolls but it seems to be what she really-really wants.

Lilyloo · 01/10/2008 22:10

peppa pig magnets , sticker sets. colouring sets in pound shop this week! All good stocking fillers!

cherrymonster · 02/10/2008 18:18

8oreighty · 02/10/2008 18:22

EachPeachPearMum · 02/10/2008 22:49

Dolls House

gingernutlover · 04/10/2008 16:42

dd has seen a dancing iggle piggle she wants and also the peppa pig playsets

not to say she'll get them of course but she can want all she likes

geisha · 05/10/2008 08:43

Will watch this thread as I am stuck for DD too!

lilymolly · 05/10/2008 08:49

what about scooter or bike? dd is 3 in january so I ams thinking about this too.

I bought her some jigsaws and puzzles from matalan this week very cheap and also some very cheap baking/play dough tools from morrisons also.

Agree- painting stuff pr craft stuff is good
as is books or dvds?

geisha · 05/10/2008 08:52

Bike is a great idea Lily - she is having one for her bday in Nov though. My difficulty is that she has a sister 2 years older so it is a question of trying to find her something of her own iyswim. we have the basic supply of books, puzzles and paints etc - no harm in more I suppose, whould just like to get something dd1 hasn't had.

jop64 · 05/10/2008 13:34

DS1 is having a kids digital camera!

thehouseofmirth · 05/10/2008 19:02

jop64 which one are you getting? Reviews I've read for the Fisher Price one were awful and as DS manages fine using mine anyway we were just thinking about getting a normal cheapish one for him.

Other ideas:
Stuff for dressing up box
Wooden castle
Wooden pirate ship
Farm

I thought this looked nice too.

Lilyloo · 05/10/2008 20:19

toys r us have peppa pig spaceship in half price £9.99 from £19.99 showing out of stock at min but worth keeping an eye on!

MissisBoot · 05/10/2008 20:25

I'm thinking about getting dd a vtech laptop - it looks more like a real one so hopefully will put her off using mine all the time!

Or some dressing up stuff

Sycamoretree · 05/10/2008 20:26

DD already has it, but an idea for you all . The playdo ice cream maker set. Hours and hours of fun!

Also, someone bought DD this dora the explorer crayon, pens, paints, chalk, printing set - had everything in it, all in this handy plastic tool box type of thing.

ELC have a great little till and weighing scales and basket - comes with little packets of food from m&S and sainsburys! Till has a little credit card chip and pin machine. She loves it - not sure what message am sending but, at least she's happy!

Sycamoretree · 05/10/2008 20:27

DD got bought that laptop last xmas, and if it's any help, I wouldn't bother. They just spend 30 seconds on it, realise they can't read, so are unable to do any of the games or to make head or tale of it really. Actually, DS (1) gets more out of it!

noonki · 05/10/2008 20:47

Knex stuff my 3 year old loves

we had the best fun making a jungle yesterday (went and collected leaves in the park then sellotaped them to loo rolls)

we also made a farm out of cereal boxes, and a robot

you can do a whole array of dressing up clothes by making stuff, we made a really rubbish cloak out of old clothes and that has been a witches cloak/a builders jacket ?!?/a pirates coat thank god for imagination!

and ime don't get them too much, my DSS freak out one xmas as we got him loads (mainly from poundland but it was loads of things) when he was little

jop64 · 05/10/2008 22:07

thehouseofmirth - the v tech one has better reviews. They have it in ELC. It might not give wonderful photos but sounds very robust which has to be a bonus for our son!!

MinkyBorage · 05/10/2008 22:13

Great ideas here, just wanted to say that we got DD the puppet show thing for Christmas last year, and it became wobbly and fell apart within a couple of months. It's made of doweling and isn';t very sturdy at all. Maybe it would be better if it was glued together from day one. Sorry, hope haven't spoiled any plans.

MiaWallace · 12/10/2008 08:15

Just bought this for dd baking set It's great because a
it's scaled down for little hands.

I've also got her a cook book.

Furball · 12/10/2008 08:22

my ds loved his shopping till basket and play packet/tin foods. We still play shops together occasionally now and he's 7! although the play food has gone, we shop with tind from my food cupboard.

nooonit · 12/10/2008 08:40

Agree with the till. And cups, plates, plastic food etc. ELC have really good sandwich, icecream and birthday cake sets that stick with velcro. DD1 4 still plays stacks with all of those.

Also loves her leapfrog alphabet thingy that says letters and sticks on the fridge.

Or colouring stuff and sticker books. She still loves her little picture aqua draw mats and has enjoyed those crayola ones - colour wonder I think.

coocurly · 12/10/2008 18:22

Look at www.mywishwand.co.uk. Great shops, great suggestions and gift ideas for everyone. Has anyone else used this yet?
