I know I need to appreciate the summer! I’ll miss it when it’s cold and dark!
But I just feel so ready for the -ber months. I want ghost stories and blankets on the sofa.
Anyone else?

@ShowOfHands Thanks for your kindness. I think I need a mixture of acceptance, activity, therapy and social activities. I have a small swimming pool near me and if I can get in it mood goes up. Sometimes I stick clothes on over my nightie, get in the car and go. That's how bad it can be. I do have a lamp but don't use it.....go figure that out!

I think it's wonderful that you know what you need to do to help yourself in some moments. I'd reframe it. It's not bad, it's listening to what you need.

You sound stuck and like you're carrying a lot with you. When you end up paralysed like that, it can be hard to plan for what will help or to use what's available - like a light! - to tackle what probably feels like an immense weight.

If you haven't had any help with managing all of this, please consider it. You can self refer to wellbeing services in lots of places and different areas might have charitable organisations with some surprisingly effective intervention and activity.

I truly wish you well.

Thanks, I've only had about 30 years of therapy.
I'm getting better before it's too late!

I know I'll struggle in winter and at Xmas but it's not Xmas today is it?
