Christmas tree storage

Looking for recommendations/suggestions of Christmas tree storage please!
It is a 6ft tall tree that comes apart into three sections. I have previously had a big canvas bag but that ended up ripped over the years. Want to keep it dust-free and as small/tight as possible.

Another canvas bag, but on the small side? I got one from WeRChristmas but I got a larger one than my tree really needed, I had a reason but damned if I can remember. Getting the tree out the loft now resembles two shady dudes getting a body bag out of its hiding place. Not much improvement on previous, which was two shady dudes recovering a cardboard coffin (with multiple stripes of gaffer tape to mark the years) from its hiding place, shrouded in dust from the roof torching. How long did the bag last before it started ripping? Did you wrap the tree sections in bubblewrap and truss them up with string before inserting them in it?

We have a beautiful tree that we bought over 10 years ago. It came in an easily manageable cardboard box but seems to get bigger every year. We have tried squashing it, tying it up but nothing seems to make any difference.
DH and I struggled to get it back upstairs yesterday and no way would it fit back into the loft. It is currently "resting" in our spare room taking up as much space as possible.

We got a very big plastic tree box from HobbyCraft:

(I realise that's not a link to HobbyCraft, but it is the right box). Done 10 years so far.

We have a couple of large patio boxes and a smaller plastic storage box, one patio box is used exclusively for trees, wreaths, garlands etc. The main tree DH wraps in old bags squashing them tightly and tapes together. We have a few smaller trees that either go in their original boxs or in plastic bags. The smaller trees don’t need as much work making them small. Depending on where the box is being stored, outside utility or storage unit, will depend if I put a couple of dehumidifier’s in the box to absorb any unwanted moisture.

I’ve been on the look out for the last few years for decent canvas storage to replace my old ones that and barely functional but have found everything to be cheap and flimsy, even some of the more expensive stuff.

DH made a good suggestion when packing away our blow up mattress, the canvas bag it’s stored in will be perfect for Christmas stuff so when the mattress goes, which they always do, we need to remember to keep the bag.

Thanks for these suggestions. The canvas bag I had, I don’t remember exactly the make but I got it from amazon a few years ago. It was described as sturdy but I tore it the first time I put the tree in! Tore it again getting it out next time, and again putting it away again. It was generally rubbish. I’m really trying to not use any more new plastic so I don’t think I’ll get a new box specifically and might resort to my big stash of “bag for life” bags and try to adapt something.
