Done with Christmas?

Anyone else done with Christmas?
We have family coming today so I'll have to do it, but honestly, I love Christmas but we started a week ago by visiting family & now I'm over it! Im tempted to take decorations down tomorrow!

I’d like to get rid of all the decorations tomorrow. We love the run up and do loads of events but in my mind Christmas Day and Boxing Day are the finale and I can’t stand anything Christmassy after that. I think because it roots back to being a child and being jealous of characters in Christmas specials that they still had their special day to come!

My tree got turfed out the house at 8am this morning! Boxing Day I hate all decorations after Christmas Day. Tree goes up 1st Dec

Do you have children?
That would have been heartbreaking for mine.

@Only2daystogo yes I think youre right, I think this year we went to family for 5 days and did christmas there a week before , then we were hone for christmas, but saw some of Dh family. I think I'm peopled out!! Had 2 christmas dinners and did lights, kids activities etc with lots of people. Im not back in work until the monday after new year-so I think i want that time to do house things etc.

Yes, you can still enjoy the time just not in a decoration, loads of people and food way.

I definitely prefer Boxing Day to Christmas Day. Not that i get overly stressed, christmas dinner is just me, DH and DS . Today though it will be party food and football all day with an occasional stInt of reading and i couldnt be happier about it. Cracking open the Baileys and pringles as we speak!!

@Bigearringsbigsmile we always put decorations up beginning of December, so we put them up a few days earlier this year due to the way the weekend fell. I might do around 7th December next time. I love the run up to Christmas but once its done I'm over it. This bit between Christmas and New Year is a strange week!

Christmas isn’t done after 25th though, that’s when it starts (or on 24th)! It’s mad that people do festive stuff in November, no wonder you’re sick of it.
