Do you buy anything for neighbours?

We've had a young family living next door for around 3 years. We've helped them with different things, dh has done odd jobs etc. Best neighbours ever. Their families aren't in this country but they have plenty of friends.

So last year they gave us a gift and we reciprocated. Did the same this year.

It's not something I've ever done but it's a nice tradition they've started.

Does anyone else do this?

We moved here 10 years ago…...when next doors kids were 5 and 3…….we buy them Christmas chocolate and Easter chocolate every year….when my kids were small our lovely neighbour did the same for my kids ….my neighbours are lovely….look after the house when we away….take parcels in for us….put our bins out if we away….water our plants when we on holiday

Yes. We exchange tins of biscuits with the nearest two. I took flowers to another who takes in parcels if I'm out. And a bottle of wine for the bloke who has offered to fix my bicycle puncture once Christmas is behind us.

Sounds like you have lovely neighbours.
