Looks like an ideal present pile to me!

I'm actually a little sad that I'm no longer at the age where I'm likely to be opening a Lego racing car set or a cuddly Highland cow on Christmas Day. Maybe next year I'll ask my partner to buy me toys instead of grown-up things!

The Highland cow is a warmie so he can heat up in the microwave to cuddle. He loves a cuddle. 🥰

Just went to quote that snide cow with the bitchy reply but I think MN have deleted her reply. Hope she has a shite Christmas. 😂

Why do people have to pour scorn on such a lovely photo. Don’t know what was said as post is deleted. The gifts look brilliant xx

I do the same.
I start with ‘Isn’t it great to be organised early’
Then ‘Oh X would love this’
And maybe ‘This is only little so won’t be too much’
Finally I open the hiding place and realise I’ve done it again 😁

NB: I don’t get loads, my DC is autistic and doesn’t care that much, it more for me wanting to get them things they’ll like

Totally with you OP! I was so organised this year! Got a list in November, purchased said list within a week. Have now spent numerous £10-30 top ups including another one late last night 🤦‍♀️.

Its addictive!! Your pile looks ace :))

Love this! It’s just so exciting! I love Christmas! I hope you have a great one 🙌

All the fun is in the giving!! I love watching them 🙌

I’ve also been guilty of adding « just one more thing ». DH and I went to the shop to pick up the Lego set we had decided on ages ago and somehow walked out with a board game and a remote controlled car as well🙈

I'm 42 and I get lego every year.

I collect Christmas lego and use it as decoration and the botanicals collection for year round displays.

I love it.

This is lovely! I have done the same, struggles to think of things and find things and now I’m completely over run and added so much on! I will I think save some for birthdays next year! I love the arm chair cushion thing and now want to buy one for younger son 😬

rafeal · 12/12/2025 17:16

It all looks lovely. Where is the grey cushion with arms from?

Essentially she said that the OP shouldn’t be bragging because the “haul isn’t even impressive” or something like that. Just a snide, miserable, bitchy comment that got the replies ur deserved.

justthecat · 12/12/2025 17:42

I got my ds a cushion with arms, was from Very

This is the danger of being organised too early - I just keep seeing more things DC would like and adding to it! 😅 Need to avoid shops and the internet! Not normally easily influenced but it all goes out the window at Christmas

(Not that i think you have gone overboard, looks a decent amount to me, im sure your DC will be delighted)

ChappellApple · 12/12/2025 23:30

As a young person, I would have been delighted with those gifts at Christmas! We are guilty of remembering when, ahem, several decades ago, being our kids' ages, how we would have seen and felt the magic if we'd received such 'coolness', and it brings us the ultimate joy! It doesn't help that our youngest is 16 on Christmas Day! So we have a birthday area to organise, too! Birthday cake for dessert at dinner time! It's chaotic, but wonderful! We are always organised by finding things that reflect their interests throughout the year (especially deals), extra presents often 'accidentally' fall into our physical and online baskets after we think we have finished!

IndigoIsMyFavouriteColour · 12/12/2025 23:32

I’ve done the same OP, we thought we had a budget for Christmas which has just quadrupled! Which is very nice but I’ve gone a bit wild on the spending and now have a second amazon haul of amazing gifts for the kids to buy! I should really be more sensible about it but I’m well and truly buzzing for Christmas now so being a little wild.
