Stocking filler ideas for a teen boy - £20ish budget

Things are extremely tight this year while I try pay down debt. Main presents are already bought & gifted (there are valid reasons behind the early gift giving).

I would like to buy a few well received surprise stocking fillers for xmas morning. Selection box will go alongside.
I was thinking some food based gifts: pringles, nutella, fancy biscuits or pretzels. What sort of inexpensive non food items, besides socks, would be good choices?

A small card game (like Top Trumps or Dobble type games) ?

Also maybe mini toiletries (like the Boots 3 for 2 travel sized items) shaving foam, deodorant, shower gel?

I got DS a little multi-tool gadget last year, it was a couple of pounds from the stocking filler bit in the supermarket. He's found lots of uses for it.

Thank you for the ideas 🎄

Charging cables!

I always recommend a personalised extendable marshmallow toasting fork! Has been loved by all my DC and all my nieces and nephews aged between about 4 and 19 and still used loads!

Sneaker balls (they are novelty deodorising balls to go inside shoes/trainers/football boots)
Fitness dice
Beanie hat
Snood
Tiger balm
Nicer than normal toiletries - shower gel/aftershave balm
Hair styling powder or sea salt spray
Power bank
Charger cables
Wireless charger
Crimpet
Card game (I’ve bought my DS Sloppy Synopsis this year)

And toastie pockets to make toasties in the toaster.

I’m looking for sneaker balls too - but they seem to be £30+ (on Amazon)! Am I looking at the wrong thing?

These are the ones I bought my DS (a couple of years ago)…

Two teen boys here. If I had £20 to spend on a stocking I would go for

  • Tube sweets £1
  • Fluffy socks £2
  • M and S mini fragrance (posh dupes) £6
  • Bottle fruit cider (age dependent!) £2
  • Lynx shower gel £1.25
  • Either folding hairbrush or mini grooming set from Amazon £4
  • Chocolate coins £1
  • Protein bar £2
  • Pack of chewing gum with any leftover pennies ☺️

If yours are younger then I would swap out the cider for more sweets or maybe a little puzzle.

Well done for sticking to a budget. I’m sure your son will love his stocking.

I asked my 15yr DS what he likes seeing in his stocking and looked at what was used last year.

I would pick what you know are his favourites for food/sweet. My son likes hot chocolate/costa late sachets, spicey food, sour sweets, reeces and coffee syrups.

Go to places like lidls/aldi/home bargains/B&M if finances are tight.

B&M have a large selection for sweets/food that you cant get in supermarkets, however, I would stick to known brands as avoid non branded/dupe food as they don't usually taste as good.

Fast charging cable and portable battery charger were well received last year.
