Presents for horsey tweens?

my nieces each have their own horse/pony that they look after themselves at home (ie they have all the basic stuff already).

I have NO CLUE what to get them this year but would like to support their hobby. Budget fairly generous, tho not mad.

Could any horsey people help??

Disclaimer of I'm not horsey but I am aware that you can get festive flavours of "horse treats" like salt licks and chews and stuff? Maybe as a more fun element of a present alongside something practical like idk riding socks or gloves or something.

Candy Cane and Gingerbread licks on here! And "Likit Stud Muffins Christmas Pudding"😂

Vouchers for local saddlery shop - pony stuff is so expensive that it’s hard to buy a reasonably priced gift that’s a whole item.
DD needs a new hat and wants new stirrups both of which are upwards of £80 so no way I’d ask a relative to take the whole cost!

What about tickets to something like Badminton Horse trials? Or HOYS 2026?

Or Vouchers to GS Equestrian, Lemieux or another horsey brand they like.
You can never have enough pairs of warm waterproof riding gloves.
Studmuffins are always a popular treat for ponies.

My daughter at the age loved receiving Le Mieux socks (competition socks) and a headband from her auntie. Or a helmet cover with a pompon.

What about some nice pairs of long riding socks plus vouchers for their favourite horsey brand.

Sillysoggyspaniel · 21/11/2025 17:51

Long socks are always a good shout, as are riding leggings (I like equine splendour, it's only a small brand but has some nice designs) as these wear out quite fast.

Thanks so much everyone! Some great ideas

Anything Le Meiux , MPL or CT equine would fit the bill here!

edited to add : for the pony some nice grooming brushes or a sparkly brow band !

I always appreciated a new head collar and lead rope as mine got manky.
And haynets to match my water buckets came in handy.

You can get lots of things personalised these days, such as water buckets wirh the pony’s name. Robinsons horsey catalogue used to have lots of things you can order. Dont know if it’s still in existence but it was the cheapest back in the day.

Lickit bars and stud muffins for the ponies.

They all love having lots of riding socks (le mieux safest). Samshield gloves good if you think you can estimate their size correctly.

A lot of it is size of pony or rider dependent. Saddle pads like cat nip but you need to know ponies size. Same with head collars (leather ones popular at our yard). Vouchers might be safest!
