Help please!

I have a child with a disability. He has a PA who supports him access some activities who has been absolutely bloody wonderful. I'd like to get her a little something at Christmas (much like I do with his teacher, our dog walker etc.) but I don't know what, because I don't actually know her.

What I do know is that she swims a lot, because that's come up in conversation briefly where she asked me about hair products because we have similar hair.

Any suggestions please? I'm always wary with food/drink because I'm often on the recieving end of things like lovely chocolates or alcohol that I can't eat/drink. All I'm really coming up with (off the back of the swimming hair/skincare convo we had) is bodyshop vouchers so she can choose something herself and that feels like a safe bet, vegan friendly etc. But is that a cop out? Budget probably up to about £30

All suggestions welcome! Thank you.

Ultraswim shampoo and conditioner. It’s quite expensive. As a swimmer I would appreciate this!

I don't want her to think I'm suggesting she has hygiene issues 🫣

I would be happy with a body shop voucher. Not a cop out at all and it’s a nice amount. It’s hard to buy for people you don’t know.

L'Occitane shower gel and handcream. That would not imply hygiene issues.

I get gifts for some of the vet staff and L'Occitane gift sets always go down well. The almond shower oil is lovely

Body shop probably do Christmas toiletry sets at thus time of year. Could you get her one of those?

If she is into swimming a hair wrap towel might be a useful thought. to add to the hair products.

Either a Costa or starbucks voucher whatever is local to you. Or i think chocolate is always a good go to, I know you said you can't eat it but 99% of people can

Go for a voucher, she can get something she actually likes. What about Boots or M & S. A £30 voucher is generous.

You’re not buying her deodorant- why would she?

KitchenDancing · 15/11/2025 22:30

I think a voucher would be best as you don’t actually know much about her. And a note to say how much you appreciate what she does.
