Grandmother-mother-daughter theatre trip

The past few years I've got tickets for a special day out with my mum and daughter ( now aged 10) as part of a Christmas present for both of them e.g. swan lake, the snowman.

Last year we saw Ballet Shoes at the national theatre which was wonderful (they are bringing it back this year and I highly recommend to anyone who hasn't seen it).

Does anyone have any recommendations along similar lines that I can get them this year (London or Kent)?

The new ENB Nutcracker production at the London Coliseum is pure joy. There are still tickets left for between Christmas and New Year and January.

I’m taking my 10 year old and some dancing friends to see the Matthew Bourne Red Shoes in January.

If you like Sondheim, “Into the Woods” is also on at the Bridge Theatre until Easter.

There’s also a new musical of Pinocchio opening at the Globe at the end of this month. I know nothing about it, but it looks interesting.

A Christmas Carol at the Old Vic is lovely.

I took DM and DD to see “Nativity! The Musical” last christmas. It’s DD’s favourite film, and we all loved it, even though DD was 13. If you ever get an oppurtunity to see it, go!

i’ve had a quick google, and can’t find it anywhere in London at the moment.

We've got tickets for a Christmas Carol Goes Wrong shortly after Christmas - if your family like absolute nonsense and impressive stagecraft it could be a good shout? There might not be many tickets left though, it's very popular.

You won't regret it! Don't go to the merch stall at the end though. DD and her friend wanted a tiny little Totoro each so I said yes, and it ended up costing me £60 🤦‍♀️
