Matcha latte kit - what to include?

My 13yo DD has developed a liking for matcha berry lattes from Starbucks. When I started mentally jotting down some ideas for her stocking I thought to maybe get her some matcha powder and a little electric milk whisk to try making them at home, but the other she announced that she would really love a matcha berry latte making kit!

Now, I’m quite pleased that I’m in tune with the sort of thing she’d like, but I feel that maybe she’s after something a bit more sophisticated than what I was planning! Is a matcha latte making kit a thing? And what would be included? Could any matcha connoisseur help me with this please?

Such a nice present! I put together a similar one and bought a matcha bowl, whisk (plus holder), spoon and sieve along with a really nice pack of matcha.

I looked at this and shopped around for individual pieces that suited their taste (and came out a lot cheaper).

I suggest getting a bamboo whisk for the matcha if your DD enjoys things with a process (not sure how else to word!) It doesn’t take long but it’s a nice action and helps the drink feel more special.

Plus maybe a syrup for the berry flavour?

The Perfect Ted matcha brand comes in berry flavours and it’s used by trendy chains like Blank Street.

If you’re on social media, there will probably be someone who is an employee (or ex employee) who can explain how to make Starbucks matcha berry at home. I’d try to match the brands for extra brownie points.

I bought some Original and Strawberry sachets in Aldi last week and they were good. Believe they are also in Lidl.
I bought a full kit in Asia but now just use a small battery operated hand whisk. Novelty worn off but will appeal to young teens.

Thanks so much for suggestions…honestly, I would have no idea as I’ve never had matcha in my life! I definitely don’t think my ‘powder and milk frother’ would cut it!

Yes, I can imagine my DD would love the process initially but the novelty would no doubt wear off. Some of the sets look beautiful but more expensive than I ideally want to spend. She’s only 13 and I’m not anticipating this being her ‘main’ present.

I found this one on Amazon which looks like the sort of thing she’d love and doesn’t break the bank. Will get her the powder separately (and maybe a syrup as pp suggested) although some recipes online seem to use fresh puréed strawberries which she may prefer.
