I just have no idea what to get him. He's not into anything yet so can't get him anything with a specific theme like Paw Patrol. He has a bike, scooter, magnatiles, wooden train track, kitchen, lots of dress up, doesn't need clothes, has puzzles and Orchard toys and colouring. I don't want to do experiences as he's so young I want him to have things to unwrap

I’d do experiences, and then consumable stuff (Matey bubble bath, character tooth brush etc) to unwrap.

Light up bath toys are great if you do want to buy stuff. And books of course.

Does he have a Tonie box?

Chocolateisameal · 18/09/2025 13:28

At his age, he has no concept of price or value. He likes things one minute and then probably won’t the next.

If you want to have a big present then a mud kitchen or water table (depending on garden availability) would be fun and last a few years.

sunshinedaises · 18/09/2025 13:28

@Tattletail yes he does and he will be getting some Tonies

My little boy has loved Duplo. He's nearly 4 now and still loves playing with it. Also a wooden car transporter (Melissa and Doug I think) and a set of wooden construction vehicles -you can stick them in a tub of dry rice so he can scoop and dump it with them.

TokyoSushi · 18/09/2025 13:29

Does he have cars? DS was very into cars from that age to about age 5, lots of things you can get like garages etc.

TokyoSushi · 18/09/2025 13:30

Or a wooden kitchen?

sunshinedaises · 18/09/2025 13:31

@TokyoSushi he has lots of cars but unfortunately he's not really into them, either is his older brother

I’m wrapping as PP said bubble bath, new toothbrush etc!

I’ve also got a bundle of felt toy food for her kitchen I’m going to wrap up individually!

Everyone else who will ask I’m going to ask for money towards our local farm annual membership as our house cannot take any more stuff!!

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 18/09/2025 21:44

How about a yoto player? You buy story cards and your child can create a collection of music and stories. There's some really good stuff on the website plus also there's a daily podcast and yoto radio.
We gave our boys the yoto mini players and they are so good!

At that age I have DS And DD a giant box full of balloons. Then put the rest of their budget in their savings account for them. They had plenty of gifts from other people anyway.

lolacherricoke · 18/09/2025 22:39

Put money away for him, don’t buy for the sake of it x

Hedgehog23 · 18/09/2025 22:41

Click clack track?

or a marble tree if you are careful with the marbles.

ITSSSSCHRISTMASSS · 18/09/2025 22:46

At this age I did practical stuff new bath towel and bath toys, themed lunch boxs and snack pots, own character cutlery, new light up shoes, hat and scarf.

SomethingElse73 · 18/09/2025 22:47

Stomp rocket

Silvertulips · 18/09/2025 22:50

Play doh - always needs some new ones!
Paint and brushes
roll of wallpaper for painting

If he doesn’t need stuff get him some premium bonds

Needspaceforlego · 18/09/2025 22:51

Honestly he'll give you some daft idea and run with it. And a couple of books.

My youngest is getting beyond the toy stage and I really regret the amount of money wasted on toys over the years that have been like buying for buying sake.

What about a football Strip or something?
