I’d love some recommendation for our Christmas outing this year. DD is 9, DS 7. We’ve done Kew Gardens lights a couple of times and are ready for something new.

DD not great with loud noises and very busy environments.

thank you!

That's not a very child friendly time to go. We were there during the day in the middle week of December and it was just as busy as when we'd been in the last few days before Christmas.

Mine would have been fine out at that age in the school holidays, 7pm is really not that late.

Me too, it was fabulous but it was 10 tears ago when we went and the West End always seems to be gridlocked with traffic in the evenings now whenever I'm there (most recently earlier this week). All the buses are just stuck in it.

Yeah, but the end of November is term time for pretty much all schools.

True but I suspect it would still be pretty quiet at that time of night through December. Having said that, I don't think my DCs would have been interested in the inside, just the lit up outside and window displays. But they were certainly up for a later night here or there by late primary school age.

Raymond Briggs The Snowman ballet or The Father Christmas at the Lyric. Christmas Carol concert at the Royal Albert Hall, or carol service at Westminster Abbey or St Paul’s Cathedral. Regent St Christmas lights and visit Fortnum and Mason.

When my DS was 5yo we went to London to see The Snowman -Sadlers Wells .
Then along to Hamleys for a nosey (and a toy) then lunch in Garfunkles .

He'll be 26 this Christmas and still remembers it Xmas Grin

Secret London Runs do a fabulous Christmas lights tour and normally do a family walking tour in December!
